The Importance Of Personal Freedom In The United States

Personal freedom is like a young child calling a person ugly and the parents laughing saying that the child does not know any better to explain personal freedom is saying how a person feels an express an opinion is very important for a countries individuality.
Although Americans are lucky enough to have personal freedom people in other countries do not have that right to clarify “personal freedom is the freedom to come and go,freedom of opinion and expression, and the freedom of conscious as long as your choice doesn't take away or hurt other people s freedom “ because Americans don't have that right often violated Americans take it for granted. Many Americans feel the same way as Mr. Seidman but in the middle East Saudi Arabian women do not get to enjoy these rights. In Saudi Arabia there is a male guardianship in place according to “ seven things women in Saudi Arabia cannot do” the male guardianship system which prevents women from doing vital tasks such as working traveling studying receiving medical treatment or marrying women also cannot obtain a passport travel aboard without a male relative or husband’s consent women cannot make decisions for children herself and there is complete sex/gender segregation.”(seven things 1) To an American woman this seems outrageous but sadly is the true for many Saudi Arabian women they do not get to experience the wonders of personal freedom like American women.
Because Americans have the personal freedom to express feelings although are still in a way Limited in what can be said meaning never fully able to Express said emotions. For example in the Court case Tinker versus Des Mains Independent School District 1969 “John, Mary Beth tinker and Chris Eckhardt wore black armbands to school to protest the war in Vietnam school officials told them to remove the armbands when they refused they were suspended their parents super School claiming a violation of their first amendment rights of freedom of speech… the federal court sided with the students however the court did not Grant students in unlimited right to self expression” (Jacobs 1) another example is Colin Kaepernick Colin Kaepernick chose to kneel during the national anthem he started a movement in African Americans and non African Americans alike but some coaches aren’t tolerating for the lack of standing during the national anthem coaches like John Tortorella who coaches the Columbus blue jackets hockey team has told ESPN “If any of my players sit on the bench for the national anthem, they will sit there the rest of the game,” this forced an individual to choose between what they love to do an what is right
Before a person can fully comprehend the freedom Americans have Americans must first understand the hardships endured to achieve this freedom an example of the hardships was when America Broke Free from the British Empire another time is with the civil rights movement happened many African Americans suffered for the rights of African-Americans now in the letter from Birmingham Jail dr.

King jr. Clearly states “Negroes have experienced grossly unjust treatment…negro leaders sought to negotiate with the city fathers but the latter consistently refused to engage in good faith negotiation” (MLK.3) thus leading to the great civil rights movement and the use of civil disobedience and protesting against the strong injustice against African Americans. African Americans have risen against the odds and persevered as well as many other races the civil rights movements brought thousands of people together in order to protest injustices against Jim crow laws and segregation
Personal independence is simply astonishing owing to the fact that Americans do not have to subject to another's theory. Freedom helps with individuality without individuality all Americans would be the same an country issues would never get solved, Remember that although Americans are
