A web page would also allow for an employer to see the artwork, or portfolio, of a potential employee.

By having all their artwork in a web page, it facilitates the viewer to see what they have and maybe even see something that they will always remember and make them go back to that web page time and time again.
Ultimately a web page can be used for many things, all beneficial for a business, an art designer, and even regular people who shop online or communicate through the use of a web page. It has become easy to create a web page, for example using Adobe Muse, a person no longer needs to use HTML, CSS, or any other coding language to create a web page, although they still can if they
Internet advertising is at an all time high, and consumers are attracted to products that they can get more information on over the Internet. Also, "buzz" promotion can be created efficiently via Internet.
All three of these authors observe that people’s values and experiences often lead them to different conclusions. As Nelson indicates in her story, people’s education level, when it comes to art, varies. She explains that in these modern ages, people are exposed to violence so often that they just brush it off. She believes that because violence is used so often through many different forms of media and art, people are allowed to have their own interpretation. She explains in her quote, “...no one can own it; no one can own its meaning. Its function is to mediate, but not in the sense of imitating or representing a reality from which spectators are barred” to portray her belief that it is upto spectators to decipher the meaning behind the media’s
Customers like to stay entertained while hunting for the perfect gift. Shopping in stores can be boring at time causing the customer to shop online in the comfort of their home (No One Is Talking about a Major Reason That People Aren 't Shopping for Clothes in Stores). Online shopping can be more exciting to people than going into the actual store.
The digital culture has clearly changed and impacted the ways of modern life by connecting most of the world’s population through various social outlets. These networks can intertwine creativity, politics, values, advertising, religion, personal connection, and the list can go on and on. In many cases the digital culture has made things easier in terms of communication and interacting socially or for business purposes. Certain platforms such as Facebook and Twitter have evolved from connecting and sharing with personal friends to a multifaceted platform that connects one to the world. These types of social networks have in someways created a generation that depends on what I call a “digital significance” and is a intricate part of their existence

The information can be expressed through words, numbers, sounds, and images. By better understanding digital technology, we improve our control over such information.
By using my pal Wikipedia, I actually discovered the history of online shopping, none of which I knew before my research. I learnt that online shopping was invented in 1979 by English entrepreneur Michel Aldrich, who was an IT expert, with a total of 38 years in the business. On my Facebook news feed, I found a group of popular pages under a ‘Pages you may like’ heading. Mostly these were online fashion store who share their garments and products for the public to see, where businesses can promote their products through Facebook ‘like and share’ competitions. Pinterest was a great one for finding the most pinned clothing and accessories, once you see a dress or a pair of sweet kicks, you simply click on that pin to enlarge it and ta-da, there is the item, there’s the website and if you’re lucky, the price. I used my Instagram to fol...
The question people are asking themselves today is, Is digital literacy just as important as daily subjects such as reading, writing, and math for our students today? To prepare for this paper I was given three excerpts to read. Right away I was drawn to how much time we spend on the internet daily and what types of things we do while we are on the internet. I realized that today’s society is dependent on the internet for most things like doing homework, researching information, shopping, and getting on social media websites. While reading a fact sheet named Fact Sheet: Digital Literacy, “We live in an internet economy I came across interesting facts such as 96% of Americans use technology and internet at their jobs and 28% of American don’t
Media can present content that seems and is more or less real, however, it is our duty as the viewers to be able to distinguish, and differentiate between “reflections of reality, and constructions of reality”. The prime targets of the media are young people because they so unwittingly believe everything the media tells them, from “how to talk, how to dress, and how to relate to others”. This newspaper article, seeing is not believing by Leslie Fruman is essentially explaining that now “for the first time students will take a mandatory course to help separate fantasy from reality in the media.” The mandatory course is referred to as media literacy, and will teach young people the classifications of reality and fantasy.
Media and technology have an ever increasing role in how we as humans communicate with one another as well as help impact our culture. The printed word, once able to be mass produced helped usher in an era where where people could seek the education and reading skills they desired, brought print and knowledge to the masses. Now with the more common use of digital communication and media outlets, our options for information and communication are almost entirely unimpeded. Technology allows us to live through multiple Renaissance type periods filled with ever growing pools of information from which to share, and culture changing happenings coming from every corner of our connected world.
Media literacy gives us the ability to understand the information and process the underlying meanings within. According to the video “Media Literacy in the 21st Century Classroom” (2009), media literacy is defined as the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, and create media in all its forms. The video “Media Literacy in the 21st Century Classroom” (2009) refers to media literacy as a skill that allows people to be critical thinkers, which makes it more difficult for others to influence a person’s thoughts and ideas. With the massive amounts of media available, we need to be able to decipher the meanings beneath the messages. Media literacy is more important than ever in today’s society because of the advancements in technology and the increase of all forms of media. In today’s society, we should make an effort to change our ways and use a culturalist approach to media literacy. “A culturalist approach to media literacy education views mass media as an integral part of the cultural lives of youth, not an outside force to be resisted or overcome” (Mittell 391). With the amount of media we are all exposed to, we need to give our younger generation the appropriate education on how to analyze and evaluate the media that they will be bombarded with. With the evolution of technology and media, it is absolutely crucial that we include media literacy in the education process for the sake of the younger
