Becoming a Parent, Life Change Single life is wonderful. You can do anything you want. After getting married, and becoming a parent, life change. You have a new life, less freedom, and more responsibility. My life is change when I became a parent. Becoming a parent was hard and the responsibility are very difficult. For example, last Saturday, I came home from work and I asked my younger son to give me his school folder so I can check his school work. He told me, he did not have any paperwork. I knew something was not right. I told him: “Nathan, if you have something to tell me, you better said it now. If mommy finds out, you hiding from something from me, you will have a serious problem.” He started crying. He shows me he has 80 points on his spelling test. At first, I was little upset because he was not honest with. But I am not mad at him, I explained to him: “First, you must be honest with me. Second, you have to study carefully before you have a test. Today, I am not mad at you because you honest with me. If you make mistake, you need tell me, not hiding. So I can teach you how to fix your mistake. This morning, my older son – he is 12 years old, asked me: “can you buy me a cell phone?” I really do not know how to answer him about this. For now, I think he does not need a phone. If something happen with him at school, his teacher would call me. When he is at home, he can use home phone. I do not try to be mean to him, but I do not want him to be to involved with social media. He started hanging out with his friends. It makes me little nervous.
