How is a trip beneficial to a person's life and their childhood? Something that I am petitioning is a trip to New York City for my birthday. Along with the trip, we would see anywhere from one to three musicals productions. This is a great trip; To a magnificent place; doing great things. My knowledge of theater would be expanded. I would also learn about the glorious city and its history.
First, this trip would advance my knowledge of theater. I would be able to learn more about how the actors and actresses dance on stage. Also, I could understand techniques for live singing. Another way how I would learn more is that I can study how the actors and actresses stay in character and remember their lines. In my head, I could take mental notes

This would be important because I may live in New York City whenever I get out of college. I can learn about where in Manhattan each theater is. Also, I would know where each street is and what is on each street in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. This would allow me to navigate the city without a map. If I were to live here whenever I am older, it would be important to know all these things about my future.
Third, I could learn about the city's history and historical sites. While maybe going to Ellis, Island, like I did previously, I would be able to learn about U.S. immigration through New York City, because I would have more time in the museum. We could see the 911 memorial to learn about a horrific day in the United States history, September 11, 2001. In New York, I can learn about the Statue of Liberty along with how she got here and how she represents liberty and freedom in America.
You might be thinking that this trip may cost over a normal budget. There are many ways to save on a trip to New York City. Walking and taking the subway are very inexpensive ways to get around New York City. Taking a train from Harrisburg to Manhattan would cost less than driving there. You could also book the hotels that give you more for your money. Also, we should acquire musical tickets from a place that gives good deals on
Both locations offer a wide variety of fun. Shopping, sightseeing, dance clubs, and scenery are among both places. To get to New York would take about nine and a half hour’s or approximately 554 miles. My car gets about 40 miles to the gallon and gas prices are about $2.30 a gallon. I would have to fill up twice to get to New York City and twice to get back, which would cost about $120.00. If I stayed for three nights and four days, I would need to set aside another $100.00 dollar’s for gas while traveling the city. If I traveled by plane it would cost $201.00 dollars round trip if tickets were purchased on www.orbitz.com.
Ellis portray New York as a city where it is horrible to live, filled with homeless men,
We began with the typical touristy attractions; the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Soho, Central Park, and shopping. We had been planning this trip for months and had poured over every detail. From the time the plane landed, we were living by a minute-to-minute schedule. This was a well organized trip and The Great White Way was not on the agenda. Or so we thought.
When comparing Western New York to New York City there are significant cultural differences that come to mind, but also some similarities. New York City is considered the most populous city in the United States. According to the 2014 census the population of the metropolitan region of the city reached to about twenty three million residents. Because of the rapidly growing population it has been named the cultural and financial capital of the world. The city is known for its big impact on finance, art, fashion, education, and entertainment. On the other hand, Western New York is more known for its scenic attractions, agriculture, award winning wineries, and classic style of living. The census bureau in 2014 also stated that if Western New York was counted as one single area the population would be significantly smaller than the cities, just topping over two and a half million. Because of all the farmland and less populated areas in Western New York, it leaves room tons of room for agriculture. A lot of western New Yorkers stick to the basic means of living like operating a family farm, owning your own business, and supplying your family however possible. For example, in the
Five star general and 34th president, Dwight Eisenhower once said that, “this world of ours... must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect”. When established in 1624, New York was only a very small colony of French Huguenots from the Netherlands where everyone was seen as equal to one another. However, as New York began to develop and change, a wealth gap developed between the wealthy and those who lived in poverty. This wealth gap led to many domestic problems emerging in the city. In George Templeton Strong’s journals, he outlines what the city New York needs to do to become a healthy functioning city. In doing this, Strong is confident that New York will make the necessary changes in order to have a very bright future ahead where many more opportunities will be available for its citizens.
New York City is one of the most significant city in the world. It started out as a small Dutch city and grew to what it has become today. It didn’t “just happen” right away but instead, it took a long time to be called as “The Big Apple” or “The City that Never Sleeps.” The character of the place has gradually changed over time and really came to become a global power city during the early twentieth century. For example, 1783 to 1835 was also an important time period in the history of New York City that laid a strong foundation to become an industrialized city. However, considering the developments that happened from 1898 to 1945 to be more organized and effective, the most iconic and quintessential period was from 1898 to 1945 in the history of New York, which we haven’t reached it in our course so far.
In the month of December, New York City is such a crazy place! I walked down the street and was awestruck when I saw the most realized natural vision in the middle of New York City. It was a large hardwood plantation covered in these reflective beacons that hovered over an elliptical gathering spot. Here people were taking pictures and gliding across a frozen bond while wearing covers for their feet with small blades attached at the bottom for a more controllable slide. There seemed to be humans, both big and small, all with smiles, observing and enjoying each other's presence. Every time I tried to confront somebody there was always something else preoccupying their time. This seemed like everybody's favorite recreational distraction. It all took place at a gathering called the Rockefeller Center. Happiness was practically in the air that the humans breathe. They had a tunnel vision for their friends and family and that seems like it was all that was necessary. It was hectic, yet in a very weird way peaceful, but surely not based upon the commotion. No, it was based upon everybody’s worries disappearing with the feeling of flight as they glide across this frozen liquid surface and feel the cold wind blow in their faces. It’s a good thing everyone was bundled up wearing multiple layers one after another.
The Manhattan Project was a project that was a simple research and development project that lead to the creation of Atomic Bombs during World War II. It was a project lead by the U.S. with help from Canada and the United Kingdom. The scientists (including Albert Einstein) became aware of Nazis making efforts to create atomic bombs. The Nazis were creating atomic bombs to attempt to purify Uranium-235 (An isotope of Uranium that makes up about 0.72% of natural uranium that is said to be fissile or can sustain a chain reaction) . The project was devoted to finding a way to create a successful atomic bomb.
When you associate anything with New York City it is usually the extraordinary buildings that pierce the sky or the congested sidewalks with people desperate to shop in the famous stores in which celebrities dwell. Even with my short visit there I found myself lost within the Big Apple. The voices of the never-ending attractions call out and envelop you in their awe. The streets are filled with an atmosphere that is like a young child on a shopping spree in a candy store. Although your feet swelter from the continuous walking, you find yourself pressing on with the yearning to discover the 'New York Experience'.
Getting prepared and ready to explore something new is just minor compared to the actual adventure for a senior anticipating the departure of their school trip. I was a member along with 30 other classmates of the co-curricular group called Business Professionals of America, a club organized through our school. Our teachers, club officers, and all of the members had been planning and fundraising for our trip to New York City for months. The excitement grew more and more as each day got closer to take off. All of us were anixious to see The Empire State Building, "Ground Zero," a Broadway play, and the spectacular views of gorgeous ocean sunsets. We had all been told and were aware of the different surroundings of the environment, or culture we would be experiencing when we arrived. Different cultures are common throughout the world, even in different places around the United States. Going on a trip to explore New York City really made the differences in cultures aware to me.
However, with sea vacation, you no longer have to worry about the series of bookings and ride hunting, the cruise itself is a means of transportation which could bring you from one place to another. A cruise ship could have all the features that you might need for a perfect vacation such as restaurants, accommodation, social gatherings, relaxation commodities and more.
The above ways will help you fund your dream trip by earning just a bit more money. Be creative and use your talents to your advantage. A holiday doesn’t have to be a costly
I was able to spend a lot of time with my family, our friends, and play all sorts of games. This experience made me start to like traveling. Every time I would get the chance to travel, I will take that chance. We were able to go to a theme park, eat many delicious foods, and play many video
“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” These words by Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. perfectly describe how my travel experience in Singapore this past summer has changed my life. Traveling to Singapore with my family has been a component on my bucket list that I never thought I would ever be able to accomplish at such a young age. Through my travel, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the culture by living life as a local while visiting the major tourist spots that the country had to offer. I also had firsthand experience with the Singaporean lifestyle and I was so amazed by the beauty of the country. Because of this, my travel to Singapore has given me an open-minded perspective on countries and has broadened my horizons in terms of travelling to new places.
I always wanted to go to Paris since i was little just looking at the pictures in magazines makes me so mad that I never went there. Paris is known for there beautiful paintings they have many art gallery there. One of the paintings I saw was by a very famous artist named Marc changall. That painting is so old but it is so unbelievable that they still have it in gallerys. If I went to Paris the first place I would like to go is one of their art galleries. If your wondering why I would like to go there is because I love drawing. Drawing is one of my passions that's why I would like to go to a art gallery first. Also there art galleries have painting from the 1800 b.c. I would like to see that because I get to see how painting was made. That would be amazing to see that.
