The Holocaust: The Cruelty Of The Holocaust

The cruel, smelly , poisonous gas that killed thousands of people. The victims had to fight for their life. They didn't know what was going on , once they were locked in a room with hundreds of people. Then all of a sudden, lights turn off and the chaos began. Gas chambers of the Holocaust, it's a type of execution that killed people. The Holocaust mainly happened in Germany and wherever else the nazis had control of. They installed the gassing chambers in the following cities: Bernburg, Brandenburg, Grafeneck, Hadamar, Hartheim, and Sonnenstein. Nazis chose who were to be thrown in the gas chambers, for example, the ones "unworthy of life". If the victims were sick, had a mental illness or physically disabled were tossed in the chamber and

left to die. I chose this event because the Holocaust is a really predicable thing to even think of. Those are my main two things I like to study in history. I think it's important because it was during a really big issue in history. It effected a lot of people around the Germany area. It was an execution that killed thousands of people during the Holocaust. (Gassing Operation)
The Nazi's were beginning to experiment with the gas and use it for mass killing. All that needed to die were Jews, Roma (gypsies) and ill people out of the hundred thousands that they were killing. For their "Final Solution" , to achieve it, they wanted to send all the Jews to the killing center to be gassed. They had another operation with "gas van", same use to kill people, but they placed the gas in the engine for people to suffocate. (Gassing Operation)
The Final Solution was to exterminate all Jews , disabled people and homosexuals. Adolf Hitler wanted the world to be "Jew free" as I would say. Main methods they used for the Final Solution was shooting or gas vans. The Final Solution consulted of Anti-Jewish legislation , Aryanization , boycotts and the "Night of Broken Glass " (removal of all Jews from German society ) . They involved extermination camps to kill more Jews. There million Jews have died from those camps because of gassing. Final Solution had two-thirds of European Jewry because of shooting, gassing, hunger, random attacks and diseases. Their main five extermination camps were Belzec, Sobibor , Treblinka, Auschwitz-Birkenau and Majdanek. They all began to use the operation of the gas chambers using Zyklon B. The gas chambers were a big part of the Final Solution , possibly to them it was a big part of an easy way to killing the Jews and ending all that they wanted . Three camps used carbon monoxide that they placed in the engine to attach to the gas chambers. Auschwitz-Birkenau installed four gas chambers. (Final Solution Holocaust Encyclopedia )
Seeing the dropping of the gas falling from the ceiling , the horrible sound of the victims screaming on the top of their lungs, and taking their last breath before they were dead.

The cruelty these innocent people had to go through. The curfews, getting beaten, thrown into camps, and being separated from there families. What's the purpose of all of this? Adolf Hitler wanted nothing more but for the Jews to be eliminated in the world. At Auschwitz Concentration Camp , it was nothing but lies and killing . The SS would lie to the inmates. They would tell them that they were going to take a shower, get a good meal and find them work , but they were really putting them into a chamber. Also, they would tell them they were to go do work on Block 11, when they were actually being thrown in there to practice more of the Zyklon B gas. Bunker 1 (gas chamber) was able to put around 800 people in there. Bunker 2 (gas chamber) was able to fit around 1,200 people in there. After the gassing was complete, the SS would wait an hour and a half before opening the doors just to be sure everyone was dead. The ones who shouted, were sick, old or young , they would die quickly. If there were any survivors, they would be shot immediately without hesitance. The gas came throw the shower heads . The victims were told they were going to be disinfected but were really being killed. Once they were dead after being gassed, all the corpses were either thrown in the crematorium by the chamber , set on

fire in a large pit or thrown in a deep ditch. In my opinion, I would never want to be in this kind of position. People having to kill the innocent. The Chelmno drag camp was the first camp to use the gas. They were 320,000 people who died at Chelmno Death Camp. Why do all camps lie? I don't understand. Chelmno officers/SS had lie to the victims once again and said they were going to shower and get a good meal. The victims were going to die in the chamber when they were running after the door, but they shut he door and locked it. (Chelmno Death Camp and Auschwitz Concentration Camp)
For the extermination procedure , once the victims entered the camp, they were sent straight to the gas chamber. The SS told them they had to take all their clothes off and their jewelry. Anything that looked expensive or any type of jewelry that they had was given to the Germans. All that stuff had to be disinfected before it was given away. The SS tried to fit as much people as they can in the chamber. Once they did, they locked the doors and sprinkled the Zyklon B in the holes on top of the ceiling. When it was time to open the doors, the SS would grab the corpses, cut off all the women's hair, and take out any dental work done to them. They would then pile them up and set it on fire. If there were any bones left, they'd ground them until it became powder and throw it in the river. (Extermination procedure)
