The Holloway Murder Mystery
Murder is a gruesome crime that many people have committed. Whether on purpose or on accident it is a serious offense and is treated as one. The murder of youths who have not yet experienced life for themselves is especially tragic. People found guilty for murder can be given several different punishments, from twenty years to life in prison. Sadly, there are times when the criminals of the crime cannot be found guilty due to the lack of evidence. This is one of those cases, coincidentally the main and only suspect is in prison for the murder of another woman around the same age as the innocent young victim who has yet to attain justice for her unfortunate demise.

Some people who know Joran confirmed that he infact was the last person to see Natalee Holloway alive, or at all for that matter. Only two people have been suspected to have anything to do with Miss Holloway’s murder; Joran Van der Sloot, and his father Paul Van der Sloot. Paul Van der Sloot passed away about seven years ago, leaving his son Joran the only known suspect to possibly be charged. Natalee Holloway’s body was never found nor did Joran Van der Sloot ever legally confess. Therefore Joran Van der Sloot was never found guilty for Natalee’s disappearance their only daughter was missing, as any parents would be. They both caught the first available flight to Aruba and for many days, along with many other people, searched for their missing child. There were many volunteers, from Aruban to American out searching for any trace of Natalee Holloway that they possibly could. Slowly people began to lose hope and little by little the search parties died down. Her parents had to come to terms with the fact that they had just lost their daughter to one of the many dangers of the world. Yet, while Natalee’s parents wanted to lay their daughter to rest, they were unable …show more content…

On June 19th of 1990, Robert Baltovich’s girlfriend Elizabeth Bain went missing. Elizabeth told her family that she was going to check the tennis schedules at her school, the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. She never returned, but her car was eventually recovered. It was found with blood on the backseat, with forensic tests showing that it was Elizabeth’s. With no clear evidence, the “solving” of the case was completely based on eyewitness testimonies, which eventually had Robert arrested for the murder of his girlfriend.
It all started on June 19, 1990, when Elizabeth Bain suddenly disappeared after supposedly visiting the University of Toronto, Scarborough Campus. Bain’s car was recovered soon after, with a large blood stain on the back seat identified as hers. Bain’s body was never found.
However, there were many others who were involved in the trial against Casey Anthony. For example, there was the bounty hunter Leonard Padilla, he tried to get a lead on Caylee from Casey after she was released from jail. Meter reader Roy Kronk had found a plastic bag of human remains in a wooded area near the Anthonys' home, the remains were confirmed to be those of Caylee Marie Anthony. After the trial has been started, there have been many more people involved in this criminal case. Casey’s defense, Jose Baez shocked the media when he accused Casey’s father of covering up the death of Caylee in the family pool and for sexually abusing her. Involved with George, was his mistress Krystal Holloway, who had little relations to the case. This led Casey to revealing about her brother, Lee Anthony who she had claimed had made sexual advances towards her. However Lee Anthony does not turn out to be the father of Caylee, so he shows no real importance to the case.
According to news reports, Lambert and Lindsey were involved in bitter divorce battle and subsequent alimony and child support battle which had dragged on for years in the courts in Florida. The parties had three (3) children, ages 16, 18 and 20, who made public appeals and pleaded with the community for information leading to the return of their mother after Kimberly Lindsey went missing from her West Palm Beach Home after a brutal altercation with Dr. Lambert on October 27, 2013. Ms. Lindsey was reported missing after she failed to show up at her job as a Nurse for the West Palm Beach School District. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office reported that a body was found October 31, 2014 in a sugar cane field in south Florida. After DNA testing, it was reported that the DNA was a match to Kimberley Lindsey (WPBF.com). According to Police this murder was “brutal and premeditated”; the body had been decapitated...

In July of 1994, a little girl named, Megan Kanka, was raped and strangled. They found her body near her home in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. The story of thing young girl has shocked the nation. The man responsible for this brutal act is named, Jesse Timmendequas. He had been convicted twice prior to this attack.
The chronological series of events preceding the disappearance of Caylee Anthony, remains unclear as well as what exactly
In July of 2008, one of the biggest crime cases devastated the United States nation-wide. The death of Caylee Anthony, a two year old baby, became the most popular topic in a brief amount of time. Caylee’s mother, Casey Anthony, became the main suspect after the child supposedly was kidnapped and went missing. To this day, the Casey Anthony case shocks me because justice, in my opinion, wasn’t served. I feel as if the criminal conviction system became somewhat corrupted in this case. The entire nation, including the court system, knew that Casey Anthony was behind this criminal act, but yet she escaped all charges. I chose this case not only because it’s debatable, but also to help state the obvious, this case was handled the wrong way. Clearly the legal system was biased, which worked in Casey Anthony’s favor, freeing a murderer.

If a family member was murdered, a family member was murdered, age should not dictate if the punishment for homicide will be more lenient or not. If anyone not just juveniles has the capabilities to take someone's life and does so knowing the repercussions, they should be convicted as an adult. In the case of Jennifer Bishop Jenkins who lost her sister, the husband and their unborn child, is a strong advocate of juveniles being sentenced to life without parole. In her article “Jennifer Bishop Jenkins On Punishment and Teen Killers” she shows the world the other side of the spectrum, how it is to be the victim of a juvenile in a changing society where people are fighting against life sentences for juveniles. As she states in the article “There are no words adequate to describe what this kind of traumatic loss does to a victims family. So few who work on the juvenile offender side can truly understand what the victims of their crimes sometimes go through. Some never

The eighth law that can cause a crime to be viewed as a capital crime is “the person murders an individual under six years of age.” (Pilgrim 06) Prolonged media attention reflecting cases on capital crimes committed by women, causes cases to have extreme bias, and causes the judge or jury to neglect the actual case. This is mirrored by the circumstances of the case involving the 2008 disappearance and murder of Caylee Anthony the suspected killer which was the child’s own mother, Casey Marie Anthony. Casey Anthony, the mother of then three-year old daughter Caylee Anthony, was believed to have murdered her daughter in order to avoid parental responsibilities. Although an overwhelming amount of evidence backing up claims and beliefs that Casey Anthony was in fact the perpetrator of the murder, including forensic data connecting decomposition remains of the child to Anthony’s car during the time of the child’s disappearance, and FBI attained data comprising of Google search terms including methods involved in the murder of Caylee from a comp...
