The Halloween Maze: A Short Story

The Halloween Maze.

“Hey Mat since it’s halloween why don't we go to that scary maze everyone is talking about?” said Mark.

"Yeah, it seems fun how about you Joey?" said Mat.

"Umm, well i doubt it is scary" replied Joey in a scared voice.

"Come on" said Mark and Jack.

"ok fine". said Joey. So they get in the car.

So as they were driving Joey sensed that something bad was going to happen, and as they drove and drove for 10 more minutes it seemed to Joey that they were driving forever.

"Hey guys we're almost there." said Mark in a excited voice. "Who is ready for the maze" said Mat. "I am". replied Mark. "How about you Joey?" asked Mark. "I guess." said Joey. and joey was happy they did not respawned or

answered. "We’re here!" shouted Mark. So they pull up into the old drive way.
"Wow thiere packed" said Joey in a surprised voice."I know right." said Mat. So they continue to walk then thiere in line. "I can't wait." Shouted Mat. "Yeah if this line will hurry up." shouted Mark.
"Why is everyone leaving?" said Joey in a confused tone. "I don't know but who cares there lost." said Mat. "Hey were next." said Mark.
Joey was thinking in his head, "Great we are next. i just don't feel right
about this maze.”
"Come on Joey were going in." Said Mat. "Ok ok" said Joey. So as they walked in Joey feels more and more concerned about the maze.
"Hey maybe we should leave." Said Joey. "Why are you to chicken." said Mat. "no, i just don't feel right about the maze." Said Joey
"What ever scaredy cat." replied Mat.
So they continue to walk through the maze and went into a little jump scares and some chases. but then they heard a blood curtailing scream.
"What was that." said Joey in a scared voice.

Before Mat or Mark could ever reply to Joey’s question they heard ton of screams saying run there is a fire. Joey,Mat, and Mark all looked at each other and they all said "Run!" and as they were running they saw the fire blazing out through the maze. Then Joey shouted "i told you that we shouldn't even came to this maze." "We should have listened." Said Mark. "We don't have time to chit chat unless you guys want to get burned to death." Said Mat then they continue to run then caboose!! they heard an explosion that sounded like it came from a propane can. And as they still continued to run they heard even more blood curtailing screams and crys. Then right smack out of nowhere Joey went face slapped against a man. The very scared man said with every hair on his head sticking up "Can you help me find my little girl." “no i’m sorry we don't want to die." Mat said in a rude tone. "Yes we will help." Joey replied in a brave ton. "Ok but we will have to hurry Joey go east,Mat go south." said Mark." Are you crazy!" exclaimed Mat then they heard a little girl scream "help me help me." "That’s my daughter." said the man. so they all run in opposite directions. After 3 minutes of running through the maze. "Hey i found her." said Mat. "Good bring her back." said Mark in a happy tone. and as he was about to run but woosh a blaze of fire circled both Mat and the little girl. "I need help someone help." shouted Mat. "were coming."

shouted Joey. and as they were waiting for someone to rescue them Mat was thinking to himself "if i wait here any longer i'm going to get burned to death." "cover your head with my jacket." said Mat. "Ok." Said the little girl.
"i"m going to count to 3 so be ready." Said Mat. "1,2,3." Then Mat jumped and as he was going through the fire he thought he wasn't going to make. Then bawp! he landed and in him and the little girl they had joy they were safe, but not for long. "I got her." shouted Mat. "good bring her west in the field." and as Mat was running and running he saw in the corner of his eye that the fire was catching up with him. Then he finally found them. "Daddy!"shouted the little girl with tears of joy. "Honey you're ok." said the little girls dad said with tears running down his eyes. Then they heard a scream they knew it was close by so they were following the sound. They finally found the location of the scream.
In the horror of the sight people were burning fighting the fire trying to survive. And as the maze was beginning to fog up with black smoke. They were coughing. "Come on we need to get out of here." said Joey.
Then they all fled to escape the black fog of smoke covering the area there was no fresh air. As they were searching and searching for fresh air they still heard screams and cries and could only get a glimpse of people suffering with the heat. "We need to escape the heat and the smoke." Said Mark
then Joey fell down. "I can't take this heat it feels like i'm getting a sunburn everywhere and i'm thirsty and i can't breath from the smoke." Said Joey.
"Come on fight it Joey." Said mark. But Joey didn't respawn. Mark felt his head. "We need to get him out of here he can die in these conditions." Said Mark. And they continue to search for a way out but it seemed like they were going in circles. Then mat was thinking The maze was the biggest in the country. Finally they were at a spot with barley fire and not much heat or smoke. "We need to set him down and help him quickly the fire is catching up." Exclaimed Mark. "Wait i got a water bottle with about ¼ of water left." said the father of the little girl.
Then they poured water on him and they saw they only had almost 2 minutes Joey. "Yes." Said Mat. "We need to go now the fire is catching up." Said Mark.
So they run and followed the map. Then they had to stop to catch their breath. Then they saw the fire was going around them. So they get back up.befor it gets hotter and more smoker. Then out of nowhere they hear a person gasping for air. They all look back they see Joey is awake they were all happy they gave him a big hug but it wasn't all joy yet. "Hey daddy the fire is getting closer." Said the little girl. So they ran, then Mat said "Hey we’re almost done with the maze because the accident happened at the beginning and there is barely fire here." So they all looked at each other in a happy face. So then they all get up and run. And as they are running Joey saw something that looked like a map of the maze so he goes over to it.
"Yes, i found a map of the maze." Shouted mat
"Theres the end of the maze!" Shouted the little girl.
But they were too late the fire blocked the exit.

"Guys we need to go through it." Said Mat.

"Are you crazy?" Shouted Joey.

“It’s our only hope." Said Mark.

"Ok cover up the little girl with your jacket." Said Mat.

"Yes sir." Replied the father of the little girl.

“When i count to 3, run and jump threw it because we only got 10 seconds and the fire is going to burn us." Said Mat.

"1,2,3 jump!" said Mat.

So they jumped through the fire, and when they landed they were happy to be out of that death trap.

Then they heard the fire department and everything was fine there were some survivors but the few who did were burnt or critically damaged people were crying with tears of joy. All that what all Matters that some people are safe and we found out that Joey had lung damage from the heat,dehydration and the heat. But everything was fine we all lived fine until

the hospital turned into another maze but not fire or corn it was a maze to get out of the hospital and survived all the people who have gone mad from the fire. And now are attacking the hospital so it looks like they have once and yet another adventure. and they need to survive but can they they don't know. And maybe 1 of us or 2 of us or all of us will die. We won't know until it's

over.
