The theory that aliens from another world had assisted in building the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt might explain how some of the most amazing and mysterious engineering feats in human history were accomplished. Moving massive stone blocks, apparently quarried from many miles away, and assembling them into such a colossal and precise structure seems like an insurmountable task even today. How did the workers manage it so many thousands of years ago without the use of modern construction techniques? Logically, it appears the ancient Egyptians must have known something, or someone, that we do not. It is often claimed by “alien” theorists that the pyramids suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Aliens built the Egyptian pyramids. Recent research supports the theory that the Pyramids were built long before humans inhabited the area now known as Egypt. It is also nearly impossible for the Egyptians to lift and move the limestone brick used to build these massive structures. Only a more advanced form of life could have constructed such an enormous undertaking, while using advanced mathematics and geography that were not yet known to ancient peoples. Archaeologists suggest that the large stones used in building the pyramids were transported by rolling them over logs or a wet, slippery, clay surface.
Clifford Wilson has the most acceptable theory compared to the other two individual’s arguments. In Clifford Wilson’s theory, he suggests that the pyramids were built with the “heave-ho” method. With the use of sleds made from wood that is easily imported from Phoenicia and rope, it is an acceptable theory on how the Great Pyramid was built. Wilson has also seen workers, using a single rope and pulley, move stones as the supervisor chants out instructions. One question that arises is how the builders were able to lift the stones into place. Wilson explains that during the construction of the pyramid, a ramp made of earth could be increased as the height of the pyramid increased. Once outer limestone blocks are fitted into place the earth could simply be removed. Clifford Wilson clearly verifies his theory with specific details, which displays that his theory is the most logical and suitable explanation of the construction of the Great Pyramid.
In Schoch’s analysis of the Sphinx and its enclosure, he found multiple types of weathering from water, wind, flaking and disintegration. He believed the rounded edges that appear on the Sphinx and the enclosure are a “classic textbook example of what happens to limestone wall when you have rain beating down on it for thousands of years”. This type of erosion would require a lot of rain, and given the present climate of Egypt, it would have to have happened before the drying up of the Sahara between 6000-5000BC. Schoch says this amount of rain happened in the Nabtian Pluvial or the Neolithic wet phase a period between 7000-5000BC. This was a time of erratic floods thus the Sphinx must have been carved prior, giving the rock thousands of years to be eroded. One thing geologists do not know is the rate that rock erodes due to various types of weathering factors that can accelerate the process.
The first step in building this pyramid was choosing the best location. Next, crews needed to be organized and resources had to be gathered. This was the responsibility of the second in command, which in Khufu’s case, was Hemiunu, his nephew. Hemiunu also was in charge of delegating responsibilities such as payments, labor, and materials. In regards to how the pyramid was actually built, several theories have been suggested. One theory is that ramps were positioned on the outside of the base of the pyramid throughout the whole building process to move blocks into place. Another theory suggests the same thing except for the idea that as workers neared the top, interior ramps were used instead of exterior ramps. The likelihood of these theories being accurate is quite small because of physics. The most likely theory was proposed by Robert Carson, who believed that the Great Pyramid was built using water power. This could have been made possible by the high water table of the Giza plateau. The Egyptians used a tool called the shaduf, a long pole with a bucket and rope on one end and a weight on the other end. Along with interior ramps, Carson suggested that hydraulic power from underneath combined with hoists from above could have been used to navigate stones into place. Historians have had disputes in the past over who actually did the labor. Some believe it was slaves, but it is

Houdin believes that the Egyptians used right angled spiral ramps to transport the blocks and build up the pyramid. The Great pyramids of Egypt are undoubtedly one of the most recognized and admired landmarks in the world. Built to pay tribute to gods and pharaohs, the pyramids were of great importance to the Egyptians, and the mystery of their construction continues to amaze us today. Many theories pertaining to how the pyramids were built have been suggested, however, none are as well supported or intelligible as the heave-ho method of quarrying and cutting limestone. Joseph Davidovits’ theory disproving this, in which states the pyramids were moulded, is not plausible. Substantial physical evidence which is consistent with the Egyptologists’ portrayal of the heave-ho method has been found. The entire process of building a pyramid with this method is possible, as demonstrated by thorough experiments and analysis of the Egyptian culture. Indisputably, the Great Pyramids of Giza were constructed by quarrying limestone, and the use of ramps, sleds, and cutting tools, owing to the ingenuity and strength of highly organized Egyptian workers.
Egyptian workers built pyramids by dragging blocks into the positions with ropes and wooden sledges. Blocks and stones were transferred to the location of the pyramid with boats. The Egyptians had to build ramps to layer the blocks on the pyramid. The Egyptians also used wooden rockers to easily move granite and limestone. Granite was used in many different ways.
When one travels to Egypt, what does he/she see - pyramid after temple after tomb, each standing the test of time. One stands out - they are all associated with religious beliefs, they all have stood unmoving for thousands of years, and they all involve mechanical genius- the moving of colossal stones without the use of the wheel. The finest example such mechanics is shown in the construction of the revered pyramid. These three factors, all belonging to the religious architecture of ancient Egypt, do nothing else but prove its greatness.
