The great Gatsby one of Fitzgerald greatest works if not the best is one of the best books of the 20th century for a couple of reasons: exemplifies to the finest how was life in the rowing 20’s, its written in such a matter that you believe you are part of the story and for its historical significance and accuracy that almost makes this book a historical book. The similarities continue as both Fitzgerald and Gatsby had to put on halt their plans to fulfill their dreams as both enlisted on the Us Army with the possibility of being called to serve on World War 1; both were honorably discharge.
