What is “electric daisy carnival”? Electric Daisy Carnival is a EDM music festival that happens two to three days in various location around the world. Their main EDC festival is held in Las Vegas at the Motor Speedway and the company Insomniac says “it is the largest multi-day music festival in North America, attracting 400,000 fans over three days.” I have attended this music festival for two years and within those two years, I am filled with joy, happiness, and positivity. People should visit EDC once in their lifetime to experience the different types of music, live entertainment, and meet people from different parts of the world.
With over eight stages spread out in the speedway, three days is not enough to enjoy the different varieties of music they offer. There are four stages that play such as House, Progressive House, and Big Room music. The other four stages play different genre of EDM that many people don't hear about such as Hardstyle, Trance, Psytrance, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Trap, and Techno music. Every year they also remodel some of the stages especially the main stage called, the KineticFIELD which “set the record for the largest stage structure ever built in North America at 440 feet” in 2014. Personally, my favorite stage has to be the BassPOD because that stage mostly plays Dubstep and Drum & Bass.

During those three days, they have a marching band that march down on “Rainbow Road” with performers dress similar to the theme of the year. There are also performers on stage while the artists are playing their sets. The carnival games have their own location called, Carnival Square that provides: free wifi, free charging stations for your phone, photo ops with performers, bean bag lounge area, and merchandise booths. The Carnival rides are spreaded out in the festival and are free of

Warped Tour each day last about 12 ½ hours. It will always be held outside. It goes on rain or shine. The aftermath of Warped is when it’s done in one place it will always move to another (unless of course it’s over). Parents like kids going to Warped so they get out of the house for more than an hour. Warped Tour is held in the summer only because that is when teens can go because of summer vacation. The official name for Warped Tour is “Vans Warped Tour”. Kevin Lyman has one daughter named Sierra Lyman. Sierra volunteers every year at Warped Tour and she works at the merchandise cart. She is twenty years old. For bands and workers the food/water is free. If you pre-order the tickets it’s only twenty dollars. When you buy them the day/week/month before the tickets cost forty dollars. It goes on every year. Two million (and more) go to it each year. People go to it to see/meet their favorite people. (Not just bands). Bands

Nowadays, the actual Parades are organized mainly of large colorful floats pulled by tractors or Mack trucks. These floats are usually two stories with large statues and decorations, telling the story of each floats theme. Parades also consist of Marching bands, ROTC/Color Guards, Radio Stations vehicles, and even policemen. The Krewe of the float are dressed in mask and costume for their float. ...ew Carnival themed parties. It's always wild. And even with the alcohol thats always flowing, the people are in good spirits. There are no drunk guys fighting, just a lot of singing, clapping, and dancing, people just having a good time. I don't think it would be right to say that its the music that does it - but you don't get that same shared spirit at a rock concert, rap concert, etc. It's just a good feeling, the more you listen, the more you play or participate, the more you get it.

Sarah Christopher, my best friend, has been to Bonnaroo six years in a row. Bonnaroo is at a convenient location for our hometown because it is a fifteen minute drive from our homes. We are incredibly blessed to have the farm so close to us and Sarah’s family has volunteered at Bonnaroo before it was even named Bonnaroo. Her father is a Emergency Room Doctor and volunteers every year and gets us a VIP parking pass. I have only been to Bonnaroo for two years with Sarah so her years of experience surpass mine.

The music performed by DJs at EDM festivals consist of remixed songs and some that are original. The beats, bass, and rhythms are what people seem to really enjoy about this type of music, myself included. Because EDM is so different from conventional music, it is in some ways, breaking normal conventions that surround “typical” music. For example, some songs focus so much on the bass and sound, that there are no lyrics or singing at all. Although this aspect can be said about other genres of music, EDM is still quite different. Over the past few years, EDM has slowly started to enter mainstream music as well. Perhaps, this has helped with the surge of EDM festival popularity. Although the festivals are now quite large, one of the most popular festivals, EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival), took quite a few years to gain the popularity it has today. The popularity of these festivals has also lead to EDC festivals being held in Europe, Mexico, and other countries.
If someone were to ask people ever wanted to see almost every artist from any genre of music in one place? Of course, anyone would say yes, because most people haven't been to an event like the huge one that happens in California each year. This is an event many people save up all year to attend just maybe once in their life time. The Coachella Music and Arts Festival, it is one of the most talked about festivals that this generation knows about. It is like a whole new world for most people each time they attend.
These large festivals attract crowds of well over 100,000 attendees, many of whom are from all different types of backgrounds. For example, the Electronic Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is held annually every June, attracts hundreds of thousands of individuals all coming together to celebrate their love of dance music. At Electronic Daisy Carnival or EDC as it is known, no judgments are passed on people for any reason such as race, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, or age. Everyone that attends is treated with love and respect. Many people who attend these festivals have a motto that they base their actions on known as P.L.U.R. which stands for peace, love, unity, and respect.
There is an event that I just can describe as one of the most unique and memorable in my life: attending my first concert. After years of listening to Ron Pope’s music, watching his YouTube channel, and following all of his social media accounts, the satisfaction of seeing someone whose music has been the soundtrack to my life for so long was unreal. There were moments that I had to internally remind myself that this is, in fact, happening in real life. Being a dedicated (some may say eccentrically so) fan is tough work – and I was rewarded with two hours of pure magic for one night. Attending my first concert was a unique event that I will always remember fondly because of the atmosphere, the amazing performance and the sense of connection
