The “Final Solution”

“Do you know why most survivors of the Holocaust are vegan? It's because they know what it's like to be treated like an animal.” (Chuck Palahniuk, Lullaby). The “Final Solution” is the execution of millions of Jews. The Jews were deported from their homes and into camps were some people were forced to kill their own families. The Nazis killed over 6 million people overall throughout all the years of WWII. Some of the people were Jews and some were Gypsies. The Final Solution had a great impact on history and the world because now, there is less racism towards different nationalities, people are now aware of how others can be affected by their words and actions and people are more likely to reduce the violence between different nationalities. An example of this is happening today, you can see how blacks, whites, hispanics, etc. treat each other equally.

The Jews during WWII were sent to concentration and death camps where they were put into labor and where they were killed/murdered in gas chambers. One of the worst concentration camps in WWII was Auschwitz and: “At Auschwitz, the gas chambers held 2,000 people at a time. With the introduction of a cyanide-based gas called Zyklon B, all 2,000 occupants could be killed in five minutes.” (remember.org). The Jews that were sent to the concentration camp, Auschwitz were separated by gender and were put into gas chambers that that killed 12,000 people a day and over 1,000,000 died overall. Some people were medically experimented on by people like “The Angel of Death” a.k.a Joseph Mengele. Some of the people that were sent to the concentration camps were tested on. They were tortured with medical experiments like being frozen to death, being put into pressure chambers, and being tested with drugs.
There are multiple reasons for the extermination of the Jews, however, the reasons are very absurd because the reasons for killing most of one nationality are very irrevelant.

Many people including Adolf Hitler in Germany blamed the Jews for the country’s defeat in WWI. Hitler was also obsessed with the idea of the “Aryan,” which was supposedly the “perfect” German race. The Germans believed that the Jews were going against the Germans in WWI and for this, they decided to exterminate the Jews. They believed that if they destroyed the Jews, they would probably win other wars. This also caused Hitler into thinking that there was an actual perfect German race (Aryan) that would help Germany achieve that goal. Another reason was because Hitler wanted to increase the Nazis status, Hitler used the weakness of his enemy’s as a weapon to make the Nazis gain more power. (History.com). Hitler believed that the Jews were the key to gaining more power because people would be more aware of what he can do to people who opposed him. This would also increase Nazis status because more people would fear

them.
Many Jews were killed throughout this whole war mainly because of the “Final Solution” and the Holocaust. Most of the Jews during WWII were killed in Gas chambers held at the concentration and death camps. “German SS and police murdered nearly 2,700,000 Jews in the killing centers either by asphyxiation with poison gas or by shooting. In its entirety, the "Final Solution" called for the murder of all European Jews by gassing, shooting, and other means.” (Ushmm.org). The “Final Solution” was focused on killing the Jews and to do that, the Nazis/German had to put them in death camps where they would either be tortured or killed. Most of the Jewish population was killed/murdered in Europe; “Six million Jewish men, women, and children were killed during the Holocaust—two-thirds of the Jews living in Europe before World War II.” (Ushmm.org). There were approximately 9 and a half million Jews in Europe before the second world war and when the “Final Solution” happened, it caused the lives of over 60% of that population (about 6 million deaths).
There is less racism between different nationalities in the world is because of the second world war, specifically, because of the “Final Solution”. The Final Solution had a great impact on history and the world because people are now aware of how other nationalities can be affected by just one person’s opinion on them. A person’s words and actions can affect people by a lot, and violence towards them just makes things worse. Today, people are more likely to reduce the violence between different nationalities because they don’t want to repeat history again. The holocaust has caused many deaths of many Jews and it has caused a great impact on society. Because of the first world war, the Germans believed that the reason for their defeat was because of the Jews. The Nazis were lead by Hitler to send the Jews to concentration camps and to death camps where they were murdered. The Jews were put into gas chambers and they were killed. The Germans called this the “Final Solution” because the extermination of the Jews was believed to be the solution for the WWI defeat (like revenge, but in an overly extreme way). About 6 million Jews in total were murdered during the Holocaust and only around 3,546,211 survived. The “Final solution” was based on the torturing and murdering of the Jews in Europe and because of that, most survivors are opposed to anything similar to the way they have been treated. Being Vegan is an example because they know how being treated like an animal feels like.
