The Final Solution: The Outbreak Of The Holocaust

In Europe there was a little over a population of nine million jews. Most of these nine million jews lived in the country of germany. The part that the jews lived in were ruled by the Nazis. The Nazi did not like the jews and thought of them as a threat to their land. In order for the nazis to get rid of the jews they came up with a plan called “ The Final Solution” . This great genocide was later known as the Holocaust.

Ha-Shoah or as most people know it as the Holocaust all begin on January 30, 1933. The word Holocaust comes from Holocauston which is greek. Holo means whole and causton means burn. The jews were targeted by the Nazis and their new leader Adolf Hitler because they believed bad things about the jews. The Nazi leader, Hitler

believed that the jews were the cause of the bad things happening in Germany. Hitler felt that is was his duty to get rid of the jews and that’s just what he did. By 1945, two to every three jews were killed. The jews were put in concentration camps and were tourchered, burned and abused for no reason. All this evil continued on until May 8, 1945 once the war in Europe finally ended. This all resulted in the murder of more than six million jews and the ruining of 5000 thousands jewish communities. Which all got rid of a total of ⅓ of jews world wide.
It wasn’t until years after the horrific incident that the survivors of the holocaust began to discuss their own experiences. Some of the survivors’ experiences were even published and became popular around the world. These stories began the start of making the world remember what happened in Germany from January 30, 1933 through May 8, 1945. It is important that the story of the Holocaust continue to be passed down to each generation because this was a horrific time in history. Even though so many died some did survive this. That shows us how strong some people are. If a nation is going through something similar to this they can look back at those who suffered and survived this and think things could be worse. This event was so huge how could we ever forget. As students we can stop putting each other down and discriminating each other and look pass each other's’ physical features and appearances and come together as one.
