The Truth behind the Holocaust

As we all know the holocaust was one of the most famous genocides in world history. Jews such as kids, adults, and old people were sent to concentration camps in the period of 1933. This is because when Germany came to defeat in World War 1, it created large economic problems, creating the so called Nazi party. The Nazi party obtained a 37% vote for Germany’s parliament in July 1932 and that maked it a controlling political party for Germany. In addition, on the first picture you can see that Adolf Hitler who became the anti-Semitic Nazi leader, is saluting the soldiers, which we know that later he took power over Germany creating the holocaust. The word “Holocaust” from Greek words means “holos” (whole) and “kaustos” (burned), which was described as sacrificial contribution burned on a shrine. Furthermore, the two Jewish kids in the middle of the

picture during the period of the holocaust, had to wear a yellow star on their clothing to show that they were an open target to the public in Germany. Knowing when Hitler took power becoming chancellor and president of Germany, he then made Jewish people such as the young, the poor, and the old send them to concentration camps and execute them, as you can see on the 3rd picture. Therefore, when Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler, sent German troops to defeat World War 1, it created large economic problems, entering the period of “The Holocaust” in 1933, impacting the world with the Final Solution and the Aftermath of this famous genocide.

This famous genocide called the holocaust, was the most horrific period in world history. The devastating genocide killed almost millions of people, leaving thousands of holocaust survivors in mental or physical pain, affecting today’s society in a bad way. The holocaust majorly ruined society and it impacted the world. Though, anti-Semitism didn’t start with Adolf Hitler, later Hitler became as Germany’s supreme ruler, taking power over the holocaust. Before Hitler took power over Germany, the 1870’s was a period where there was evidence of hatred toward Jews long before the holocaust occurred, when roman authorities ruined the Jewish temple in Jerusalem and forced Jews to leave Palestine. In addition, when Hitler was imprisoned for treason of his role in the Beer Hall Putsch, he wrote a profile of “Mein Kampf”, which he then predicted a general European war that resulted in quarantine of Jewish ethnicity in Germany. Along with that, Hitler then passed a sequence of anti-Semitic laws, isolating Jews from all public and economic life. Later when he was released from prison, Hitler took benefit of expanding his party status and rise from darkness to power. Which later resulted in “the holocaust”.
Nevertheless, the Nazi party created this so called plan, the “Final Solution”.

The remembrance of date July 31, 1941, from Hitler’s Commander Hermann Goering and Chief Reinhard Heydrich mentioned the need for the Final Solution to “the Jewish question”(History.com staff,pg. 3). The date of September 1941, every Jew in German-held region was marked a yellow star, making them open marks. In fact, thousands of Jews were being deported to Polish Ghettoes. Later giving Nazi’s plan to exterminate all Jews, deporting them from ghettoes to concentration camps. For this reason, most of the Jews that were sent to concentration camps were mostly the least useful, such as the old, the sick, the weak, and the young. The Final Solution was organized into stages. At the beginning, laws were created which obtained racism which lead to boycotts, taking Jewish businesses away and Germany taking over. Therefore, the plan for the Nazi’s was to isolate the Jewish population from the rest of the European region. Eventually, the concentration camps were a key in Nazi government and helped them destroy the

Jews.
When it came to the aftermath of the holocaust, the survivors that were being liberated were afraid of creating a new life in Europe. This is because the anti-Semitism was still occurring and so thousands of holocaust survivors had to move to other European territories liberated by western confederates. Furthermore, before survivors migrated in 1945, the Anglo-American Soviet soldiers had found bodies and bones of Jewish people at concentration camps. Soldiers also found survivors that were dying from illnesses and starvation. Putting it simply, holocaust survivors found it very impossible to return to their homes because in many situations they had lost their families. Considering Harry Trumans new restrictions, on immigration to the United States, about 40,000 replaced people immigrated to the U.S. and about 28,000 of them were Jews. Later in 1948, the U.S. congress passed an act called the Displaced Person act, which provided 68,000 Jews out of the 400,000 displaced persons to have U.S. immigration visas. Other than that, in an attempt of punishing the antagonists of the holocaust, the Nazi’s, the allies held Nuremberg trials of 1945-1946, bringing Nazi’s the horrific light. Along with pressuring allied powers to create their territories of home for Holocaust survivors that lead to favor the creation of Israel in 1948.
Therefore, in conclusion of the holocaust, it not only affected the survivors but the holocaust impacted the world. This horrific genocide gave us an example of how discriminated our society was. These survivors still confront the long term affects from the holocaust. In addition, as survivors and kids began to age, they still get those ugly flashbacks returning to their minds and all their insecurities start to control over their psychological mind. Because of this Hitler was considered one of the most evil people in history. The holocaust still today affects us by the government breaking down. Nowadays they don’t expect dictators to control over, they now give the power to people to choose the president. Certainly, this genocide shows that it was okay to kill off certain people because the religion they believed in. Therefore, when the holocaust was occurring in 1933, by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, it had impacted the world with the Final Solution and the aftermath of this famous genocide. The Holocaust surely has and always will affect us whether it was the past, present, or future.
