The Final Shot
Time is ticking down
Seconds left in the game
You move the ball up court
But there are defenders in the way
So you pass the basketball to a teammate
And they dribbled it through their legs. you run past the defender clarity is bliss
As time inches closer to the final buzzer
You make a move past your defender
A teammate passes the ball
Who catches the pass?
Must make the move
Ten seconds are left now The sweat is dripping down
You make it to the basket
The defender falls
3 seconds, 2 seconds, as if it was motionless internal reflex takes over no time to check the clock, tick, tick, tick
Everyone is watching it soar
That trusted ball comes down and scores

We are run by a president
That can not run himself
The nation that I love is falling apart
We need change but where do we get it?
We need a person that fits
And a person that does not quit
We need a new president but who should it be?
A crazy man and a socialist to be
Trump and Bernie two different men
A man that wants to build a wall
Compared to a man with a big downfall
Bernie the man that wants it all
But will lose it all to some women that just won't fall
Hilary a woman who will win the democratic nomination
And then there is a republican side that is still divided
There is Trump and Ted two men alike
But also different in many ways
Ted a man from a humble state
Texas is where he put to stake.
Then Trump, a business man
No political man to see
Only a crazy man who is not in reality!
So no matter who our next president is,
I just want them to love this nation
Like I love thee

The Darkness Love
What you mean to me…
Human nature is escaping my sight
The constant battle between the mind and the bleeding heart
I just realized, you may not
