Recommended: Patriarchy and its effect on society

Feminism has not changed today, but its focus has changed. Many women today have good education and employment opportunities just like men, as the early feminist fought for them. Now, after getting all these, men are now discriminating them and at times abusing them in order to undermine their hard work and potentiality. Men are doing all they can to undermine the success women have been able to acquired, however, today’s feminism is struggling to protect women and girls from domestic violence, sexual harassment, and rape as well as discrimination.
Today, the feminist movement has grown and is still growing as women around the globe have joined hands in the fight against inequality. Even though a lot has changed, all feminists, despite the wave they claim to fit in, are still fighting for the equality of women and men around the globe. The feminist movement has come a long way, and it is continuing to grow as many women join the movements (Collins 178). Even though many of the demands of the feminist have not been met, a lot has been achieved, and the fight is still on.
Over time, feminism has gained a negative label in the society. The society, especially men view feminism as women’s fight for superiority over men. In addition, they view feminist as people who are whining, and complaining women who have hatred towards men. There is a lot of misinterpretation and ignorance on the feminism cause, but it is there to remain and fight against the rights and comfort of women in the society. Feminism has changed the world and made women happier; therefore, it should not be viewed negatively in the society.

...nt has produce change in the modern society, including women's suffrage, more nearly equitable pay with men, the right to initiate divorce proceedings and where there is fairness, better access to education, and the right to own property, in addition to the right of women to make individual decisions regarding pregnancy, and abortion. Today, feminist movements are still in force and continue fighting for the rights of women. Feminists in the past have achieved women more rights and equality, therefore, feminism is a necessary value for today’s women and the fight is still on.
