The Experience Of Being An Outsider

The Outsider has impacted the news in 2018 in unimaginable ways. But for security reasons, we are keeping the identity of The Outsider anonymous. Recently, The Outsider has been telling social media about their story as an outsider. The main point of their social media posts have been to show how the experience of being an outsider is universal. Since starting their campaign, The Outsider’s story has spread like wildfire. During our interview with The Outsider, they shared three stories with us; a story from their childhood, and two from their adult life.
During The Outsiders youth, their family lived a very drab life. Most of their lives, they lived next to the infamous Kelvey family. The Kelvey family has not had the greatest life; the father isn’t around (in prison? Who knows...) the mother has a bad job and doesn’t make very much, and the two girls, Else and Lil, use table cloths and other household items as clothing. They are shunned by the rest of the community and nobody dared to talk

In each, they have learned that the experience of being an outsider is universal. In the Pacific Islands, they learned that “there is no such thing as a higher or a lower culture - there are only different cultures” (Kapuscinski 238). In their childhood, they learned about how being an outsider is universal, by being an outsider. After dealing with so many terrible people in his childhood, they ended up in the Pacific Islands. There, he learned about outsiders who have to work to make their living. Just to stay alive, they slave away to make everything pretty for everyone else and can’t enjoy it. Overall, their experience has shown that the experience of being an outsider is universal. Their published works and stories have been featured all over the news, sharing their story and spreading the idea of the outsider being universal globally.
