The evolution of 9th grade In the school I have learned a lot of different things I didn´t knew and start realizing I would have to prepare more and start working the faster and harder I can. As I started studying, I started setting goals I want to achieve in the future. Since the school started, I continue trying to reach my goals of last year and building new ones because everyone wants something and always we are trying to make our goals come true; not all my goals would come true because, in some cases, we set goals we know we can´t reach but we just love trying to reach them. In the second bimester, we started working in different things in English like grammar, literature and different stuff that the subject of English includes. I´m not
When we go see a movie we never really know every detail about it. Sometimes people don’t even know who directed the movie. As I researched the movie District 9 there were many things that I didn’t know about and I’m sure a few of us didn’t either. We never really know little details because that’s not we go to the movies for because we just want to see the big picture ,well that’s how I am I only see the movie on the screen and that’s all , I never really go into depth of what I am watching unless of course its base on true events . But as I watched district 9 I wondered how they got the aliens make us feel so bad for them to make us the viewers want to help these creatures. So as I researched I found a few things that were pretty amazing, things we didn’t know about. I will be focusing on the hidden thing in District 9 that wasn’t ever brought to our attention. Another thing I will talk about is this viewer Emily Perrin who tells other viewers what District 9 has taught us .
School is a huge representation of one’s character and work ethic. I think it shows a lot about a person when they put effort into their school work and grades, because it reflects how hard they are willing to work for their goals and aspirations. Grades are extremely important to me, so I work hard to do my best and achieve my goals. I plan on furthering my education
From early childhood up to adulthood, many people attend school. We spend most of our time in class being lectured and working on different subjects. The point of this is for us to obtain knowledge by learning. Learning, described as a 'biological process' by Robert Leamnson is what a person who pays attention in class will do for much of their life. Becoming a junior in highschool this year, I am familiar with my strengths and weaknesses as a student. Experiencing school each year makes me more aware of the type of student I am. I can reflect that I am a student who willingly wants to learn and do good in school, although I am not perfect I do try my best and believe that education is key to a successful future.
For example, my junior year I did very well then my last two years of high school. I was very proud of my myself I was setting my goals towards getting better grades and I accomplished that goal thanks to the support from my CORE teachers and friends that supported me and believed in me. This year I'm willing on doing what I did last year but better.I also experience another great thing in life, and that was going to solar training. While the time I Was there I felt like anything was possible, I felt like I could do anything if I set my mind to it. My experience at solar camp made me want to try new things in life and made me think positive about my future.
My first goal was to be more respectful to teachers. I can say I did a better job on that this year. I wasn't perfect, I still gave attitude and got sent down to the office twice for being disrespectful. I didn't get suspended this year and the two office referrals were during the first semester. After that I wasn't sent down to the office at all. This year was a better year for me when it came to behavior but the other two goals...they didn't go so well.
A goal I achieved was when I graduated from high school many years ago. I was the first one in my family to graduate from high school. It was a big accomplishment for me and my mom. Graduating was my goal. I wanted to make my mom proud, life happens I couldn't go to college then but I told myself one day I will full field my dream to have a career. I meet my career advisor at a job fair and am here enrolled to be a medical assistant. My new goal is to work real hard to get the best grades I can possibly get and to have perfect attendance at the end off the medical assistant program. Am going use my time wisely, get all my work done in time and ask for help if I don't understand something.
My High School life has helped shape the way for my college experiences that I will face. My senior year in high school is not the same as many other high school students. I am taking many advanced classes to help me prepare for college. These classes help me better understand exactly how much harder I must work to succeed.
Sullivan, Patrick. “An Open Letter to Ninth Graders”. Bulletin of the American Association of University Professors, January-February 2009. This article, is an attempted to state expectation clearly, in Sullivan perspective. Provides goals so that the students can work towards over the next four years of high school. Expectations to exceed and be provided with college readiness, and knowing what to exceed. Recommending to find new ways to enjoy reading because an important part of your life. sustaining concentration on important areas, would develop skills, capacity to exceed of your attention, have a reading and writing process. Skills that will be important in college and beyond. Begin to believe that school, should not be a waste of time,
My main goal in the beginning of the year was and is complete a career also to be responsible and organized because in high school I always left my homework or projects for the last minute and I knew that if I keep going in this way in college, this would bring me problems. Principally you need a motivation as in Chapter 2 from the book Cornerstone: Creating Success through Positive Change talks about how motivate yourself. There are two ways of motivation external and internal. The external is the support from family or friends or even teachers that are pushing you to do something and thus complete a degree or a career, the internal on the other hand is the most important because it depends on yourself as a need “To be something, to have something to attain a goal that you truly desire, or to solve a problem”. Also you have to know the values in your life to protect them an also use them as an external motivation to be responsible even you hav...
In order to succeed in life you must set goals for yourself. If you never set goals or learn from your mistakes you will never push yourself to greater standards. One major goal of mine is to graduate with straight A’s the whole year! I am a single-minded person so when I want to achieve something I will try my best because I always like to succeed. I will work to achieve this goal by studying as hard as I can. I will also always pay attention in school and always ask for help if im confused. This task overall can make me smarter and ready for highschool.
My motivation for school is not that good because i,am not really a school person but i will graduate and motivat myself for a better future. I will motivat mysellf by waking up early to do my homework and prove myself that i can do more then i think i can do. Also make a sechedule so i can keep going and not forget.
One primary long term goals that I have set for myself since freshman year was getting the best grades in high school and college to my own abilities. The way I reach this goal is that I use my time wisely in study halls or at home to get homework done. I work extremely hard in study halls to get as much homework done as I can because the less I take home the better because there are other things at home that I could be doing. Another one of my long term goals is going to college for something i 'll enjoy doing for the rest of the life. If I go to college to find a career that is not enjoyable than it could miserable going to work everyday. If you find a job that you enjoy you’ll never have to work a day in your life. I also try to set
I was able to overcome many problems and challenge myself in different aspects. At the very beginning of the year, I was very sensitive and having a bad experience meant a bad life to me. Later on, I started to realize what I am doing in school, and why I am here… I understood that life without ups and downs means you're died.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
Becoming a Professional is always my dream. I hope that in one day I can have an opportunity to work as a manager in a resort. Looking back and reflecting the changes I have had, my school life helps preparing myself for the challenge that I have to face in my way to success. I believe what I have learnt in school will serve as a stepping stone for future success.
