The Enchantress From The Stars is a novel that leaves behind many emotions, themes and morals. One major take away theme is that “Love Is a Powerful thing.” This theme illustrates the importance of love and the impact it has on characters throughout the book. In the this astonishing book you can see that Elana’s love for Georyn has a lasting effect on him. In win or defeat we can see that love is one the most powerful things in this novel and the world.
In the beginning of the book we see that Elana doesn’t have as much of an emotional connection to Georyn as she does in the end. In this section of the novel Elana’s compassion for Georyn has grown exponentially. It seems that at the point she can’t bear to even think of Georyn facing any sort of challenge alone given what he has already gone through. Georyn is going to face an hellacious and Elana want to go with him and help. Georyn doesn’t want Elana to go but Elana expresses her feelings about Georyn’s rejecting by saying (Engdahl, Sylvia. Enchantress From The Stars. pg. 179) “ I cannot help you in the final trial, but I shall hide in the woods and watch it; and

My family has been there for me through thick and thin. Their love has driven me to achieve greater things in life. One example of this is when I won a student of the month award back in 8th grade. Although this was sometime ago this wouldn’t have happened without the love and support of my family. My mother always motivates me to get up in the morning and have a very productive day (even if I don’t want to). Anything I do in life I know that my family will love me all through it. Every time I played a sport my family was always there cheering me on. It is one of the most comforting thing in the world knowing that my family loves me no matter what I do. Without the love and support of my family I wouldn’t be able to do half the stuff I do in

One main theme in Enchantress from the Stars is risk and sacrifice. It's funny with risk and sacrifice, because no one ever thinks about this until the time comes. They never know until something terrible happens or when it is too late. There are many events in this book that shows this theme. But one part of the book that I thought that was the best for the theme is about a girl named Llura(the girl that went on the spaceship to the planet with Elana's father, Evrek, and stowaway Elana). Llura sacrifices herself to the Imperials so that their mission wouldn't be jeopardized and they wouldn’t be discovered. Llura knew how critical it would be if the Imperials finding out there is more advanced civilizations than themselves. I like how Jarel(the
Ever since the dawn of time, love has been a fundamental part of every human’s lives. Northern Lights demonstrates to us that the love of a friend or the love of spouse can create either great power or bring misery and unhappiness. Iorek and Lyra are a perfect example a powerful relationship. Iorek has been denied power, Lyra is on a quest to find power and with out the love the two shared as friends, neither would be able to complete their missions. However, this is not to say the love and power are a perfect combination. To illustrate, look at Mrs. Coulter and Lord Asriel. “His hands, still clasped her head, tensed suddenly and drew her towards him in a passionate kiss. Lyra thought this looked more like cruelty than love” both are powerful in their own right, but neither is truly happy with the other. They cannot agree or conform with each others beliefs of Dust, meaning no physical love could keep them together. Although there was a strong romantic interest between the two, both came from different sides of power, her religion and he science. Northern Lights shows its readers that when true love is evident, than true power is achievable.
Those are just a few reasons why my family is my greatest accomplishment. I have finally realized something with age. The more I care about someone the more I manage to live myself. When someone’s life truly depends on whether or not you hit the snooze button on the alarm clock once or twice you realize your accomplishment may not be what you ever wanted for yourself. Yet somehow you feel accomplished simply because that person is here tomorrow to bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye. Always remember that tears are not a bad thing. As my philosophical child Lena would put it “Tears are just your feeling trying to say hello.”
To me, family is the most important thing in my life. They always encourage me to be the best I can be and nothing more. A quote that I think describes family to me is one by Alex Haley that states, “In every conceivable manner, the family is the link to our past, and bridge to our future.” Through the stories I hear from my mother and grandmother, I have a clear link to my families past and the generation of women that led to me. All the values these women held close to them throughout the years have led to the formation of myself and my values. Over the past three generations, the women in my family have overcome oppression. My mother, growing up in a time where women could never have aspirations to be CEO’s or politicians, somehow came out stronger. She saw what she didn’t want for her future, and jumped at the chance to start a new life in America. No single model of family life characterizes the American family, despite ideological beliefs to the contrary (Andersen). My family couldn’t be labeled an “Italian family” or an “American family.” We are a mix of the two cultures and ideologies, which is what makes us different. I am the first women in my mother’s family to be born and raised in America. My great grandmother had a complete different childhood and adolescence experience than I yet we still have a common cultural base. All her ideals were passed onto my grandmother, than all the down to me, a hundred years in the making to become who I am
Family has always and will always be an important part of my life. My family has been by my side through some of the hardest times of my life. When I was in seventh grade I had Osteomyelitis, a bone infection and nerve disorder in my right foot that caused a tremendous amount of pain. I had surgery to diagnose these conditions and had to be in the hospital for a week to control the amount of pain I was experiencing.
For example, volleyball. A few of my friends and family encouraged me to try out for club volleyball and I’m so glad I did. I love it so much. Another thing they do that makes me so thankful for them is they laugh so hard with me, (and sometimes at me!) When one of us makes a joke we will laugh so hard it hurts.
When the word “family” is discussed, most people think of mothers, fathers, and other siblings. Some people think of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and even cousins and more on the pedigree tree. Without family in people's lives, they would not be the same people that they grew up to be today and in the future. When people hear the word family they think about, the ones who will help them in any way they can whether it’s money, support, advice, or anything to help them succeed in life. Family will forever be the backbone of support.
Without my family, a large part of me would be missing. Furthermore, I have always been motivated to be the best at everything I do. This is because my parents have always believed in me and
My family has influenced who I am as a person more than anything else in my life. My parents and siblings have shaped the person I am and influenced my social behavior. My parents have passed down their views and values to me. My parents have
I believe a healthy family environment is crucial to success. My family has supported me through the decisions I have made. Because of this, I have the tools to be successful. My immediate family includes my older sister, my father, and my mother. Originally, my parents are from Iran.
I appreciate a lot about my family. Choosing one, is almost like choosing my favorite parent, which is impossible. One of the tapestry of things I appreciate about my family is that they care about my well-being and have always taught me to reach my full potential. As a child, I learn a lot from my family, by their ethics and what they teach me. So, I am glad I have been taught by them, at this age, that reaching my full potential is key.
My family is a huge impact on how I would like to accomplish something. I come from a mixed family that does not have a strong cultural background. For example, we are not as traditional with holidays, special occasions, or with the food we eat. However, one thing we are big on is education, and that is very important to me because it is one of my personal values. Another thing is that my family is big on religion which affects the way I am raised and develop mentally because of their religious standards.
My family is a love I have. My immediate family consists of six people: my dad, mom, and three sisters and me. However, I love these people on a different scale than I love books. Whether it is a hand to guide, a tissue to wipe away tears, or simply a smile to make my day better I can count on people to love me and so, henceforth, I love them in return. I love my parents for many reasons. They are always there for me when I need help or am need of anything.
I don’t know where I’d be without my family. We’ve been through thick, and thin. I’m very glad that I have them for moral support, and can depend on them for advice. They’ve taught me almost everything I know about life, whether it’d be household chores, manners, morals, cooking, etc. I’m pleased to have a very caring family that would do anything for me. I feel safe and secure with them. They provide me with the basic necessities such as food, water, and a roof over my head. I would consider all of the things they provide me with as luxuries, because not everyone has a comfortable place to reside in, or food to eat. If I didn’t have these basic necessities, then it would be another thing I would have to stress about in life. I like to joke around with them a lot, and it brings a smile to my face when I see their reaction. Having a loving, and supportive family is what makes me
