Noise does not discriminate, it has no face, no limits, no size however it has an identity which is described as a loud, surprising, irritating, static, or unwanted sound just to name a few. Noise affects people in several ways, from nature cause noise to artificial noise. It will be here and it has a substantial effect on our lives. Noise exists in every area, where some sorts of energy of any kind occur. Any form of noise can be very damaging to our hearing. Both the level of noise and the length of time you constantly hear to the noise can put you at risk for hearing loss and stress.
In today’s reality, we are living in the time where most of the noises are mostly man made. This generation often ignored that these kinds of noises, we are living with are less than two thousand years old. In to the industrial revolution, the world was transition in to the machine period with some very strong attachments of noises. This transition was referred to the change from hand made to machine and factory. Because of these demands, of so call economically production of goods, we are allowing ourselves to living in a much polluted environment. Noise is one of the pollution that was created from this transition, and the first which is created on the very first day machine was created and generated energy. At the same time, noise consequently started to cause damages to our ecosystem and ultimately has some major impact on human wellbeing such as aggression, hypertension, high stress level, hearing loss, and sleep disturbance.
The main source of noise pollution is coming from transportations, constructions, and industrial. Noise pollution in our oceans is constantly increasing, by the demand of commercial and military shipping traffic, sh...

When an intelligent animal accustomed to swimming in thousands of miles of open ocean is placed in an environment only twice its size, is separated from its species, and is forced to perform tricks, there are bound to be consequences. The captivity of these animals should be banned and National Reserves and whale tours should be used to educate the public while admiring these animals' true beauty. There are few experiences more meaningful than witnessing a killer whale enjoying the freedom of the open ocean.
The book White Noise by Don DeLillo traces the protagonist-narrator Jack Gladney’s gradual and astounding progress in life as he tries to conform to the postmodern world to which he belongs while trying to retain his moral and ethical principles. The book discusses the postmodern and cultural explorations in an open and Western living system that incorporates within itself a consumeristically dominant culture vibrant with supermarket-grocery shopping, globalization, mass media dependency, and anticipation towards establishing a concrete, dynamic, and self-created individuality.

The unit used to measure the intensity of sound is called the decibel(dB). Sounds that measure up to 75dB are considered to be in the "safe zone". Constant exposure to to sound at these levels are very unlikely to cause any lasting damage to long term hearing. The sound of regular volume conversation measures at around 60dB and the sound of a running dishwasher measures at roughly 75dB. Sounds around the 85dB level are considered a moderate risk to hearing. Exposure at these levels for extened periods of time may lead to some form of damage causing NIHL. Sounds at these levels include heavy traffic and crowded areas at 85dB, active subway stations at 95dB and listening to an mp3 player with ear buds at maximum volume at 105dB in which listening for just 15 minutes can cause permanent damage. Sound at 120dB and above are in the "danger zone". This level of sound is to be avoided at all cost as exposure even for a short pulse will lead to immediate permanent damage. This level includes the sound of ambulance sirens at 120dB, a jet taking off at 140dB and gunshots at 165 dB and above. (Rabinowitz,
...on between environmentalism and the arts. As the founder of the World Soundscape Project, he has created significant awareness to noise pollution while presenting various solutions to it to the academic community and the public. Through his compositions, he aims for a transformative experience that explores the relationship between nature and the arts, and how crucial the soundscape is to human culture. In his foresight, he also focuses on pedagogy in order to influence and inspire the future to take initiative to preserve and improve the condition of the world soundscape. Not only does R. Murray Schafer establish his place in the world as the leading figure for the preservation of the environment, but he has also strived towards progress in the soundscape, through the collaboration of all disciplines in order to create a healthier sonic environment for the future.
Don Dellilo's protagonist in his novel "White Noise," Jack Gladney, has a "nuclear family" that is, ostensibly, a prime example of the disjointed nature way of the "family" of the 80's and 90's -- what with Jack's multiple past marriages and the fact that his children aren't all related. It's basically the antipodal image of the 1950's "nuclear family." Despite this surface-level disjointedness, it is his family and the "extrasensory rapport" that he shares with them allows Jack to survive in his world. Murray, Jack's friend, argues that "The family is strongest where objective reality is most likely to be misinterpreted" (82). Heinrich, Jack's son, explicates this notion in his constant "doubting" of reality, arguing, for example, that it's "all a question of brain chemistry, signals going back and forth, electrical energy in the cortex" (45). Jack is caught in a perpetual tension between experiencing reality and relationships with his family as "actual" while simultaneously being told that there is no "actual," that man is nothing more than "the sum total of" his "data" (141). It is only through a recounting of the past, the sensual experience of objects and the transcendent nature of his relationship with is children that Jack is able to affirm the actuality of the "actual," to affirm, for example, that love is more than merely a biological chemical.
This constant surveillance has provided the scientific community with a much clearer look into the psychological attributes of the orca, which in turn helps conservationists handle real-world trials for all marine mammals. Institutions such as these play an important role in developing an understanding of how humans can help ensure ecosystems globally stabilize. Further studies have been inducted at SeaWorld, which have yielded fascinating results about orca and dolphin dialects. Dolphins use a technique of speech called echolocation, where they emit sounds that reflect back an image much like sonar technologies. Researchers have detected variations in this form of communication between pods, even those who originate from similar locations. These variations derive from the frequencies, the whales use long range frequencies in order to communicate over distances up to 300 miles away. Although SeaWorld has been able to analyze this fundamental research, wild orcas and dolphins are much more valuable for the research. Even though marine animals can be held in captivity, the ethics of the matter are still at

Taken together, we suggest that it is important to expand the irrelevant sound effect to examine its applications on different ecological important tasks and environmental settings. Adopting an ecological approach to study the irrelevant sound effect in different applied setting, such as studying with music and office noise abatement, will advance our understanding on the practical importance of the irrelevant sound effect.

Attention getter: Fumes. Gases. Toxins. We cannot survive without air; even though, we must inhale any air that is available in the atmosphere. According to the Environmental Protection Agency “a new gas powered lawn mower produces…air pollution in one hour of operation as 11 new cars each being driven for one hour” (Springfels). If the society keeps producing technology, then the environment will be destroyed.

Evo Morales stated, “Sooner or later, we will have to recognize that the Earth has rights too, to live without pollution. What mankind must know is that human beings cannot live without Mother Earth, but the planet can live without humans” (Pollution Quotes, 2013). Hence, attention must be provided to this devastating issue. Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that causes adverse changes (Wieman, 2013). There are numerous types of pollution, such as light, air, land, water, noise, thermal and radioactive pollution. In an article, the author highlighted that according to Richard Buckminster Fuller, “Pollution is nothing but the resources we are not harvesting, we allow them to disperse because we’ve been ignorant of their value” (Farrell, 1971, p. 52). Pollution is created mostly by human actions, but can also be a result of natural disasters. Pollution can harm the environment of the world and its inhabitants in many ways. Pollution has a detrimental effect on any living organism in an environment, making it virtually impossible to sustain life (Enclyopedia - Pollution, 2008).
In conclusion, I can say that it is impossible to imagine my life without these 4 sounds. In my daily life I hear all these sounds and they have become like a part of my life. Presumably, all people have their own sounds which make their life more colorful and interesting. In other words, people have trained themselves to filter out the “noise” of day to day living in a contemporary society. In this case, one question might come to our mind. How many passing automobiles do we now count in one day? For the best part we can only become aware of that there are a lot of passing cars and in no way pay attention to them unless something surprise occurs, such as an accident. This is the world people live in, it is a sound of communication.
