The patterns of farms back then were constant but now they are changing rapidly. The documentary shows us the how the ice-shelf on the arctic-circle broken and the permafrost lead to trees falling, building collapsing and a lot of structural damage. These patterns have caused subsequent decrease in the Alaska winter tundra travel days from 225 in 1970’s to approximately 125 in 2002. The ice cap on the north-pole has also decreased by 40%. The reason for this rapid decrease in the ice cap on the poles is that when the sun rays hit the ice 90% of it is reflected back, but when the rays hit the water 90% of sun rays are trapped which in turn melts the water-based ice. This has caused ecological imbalance and affected tundra animals. As compared to ice age these changes in the environment are happening rapidly. The seasons are also impacted due to global warming.
