In the movie The Dark Knight; The Batman and The Joker are different in many ways.
The Joker believes there is no value in Gotham city. Also in additions to that, The Joker is very good manipulating people; he is a symbol of evil. The Dark Knight, also known as Batman, believes there’s hope in Gotham City; Batman is a symbol of goodness. The main differences between the two characters are that, The Jokers seeks manipulation, and chaos in Gotham city. As for Batman; he seeks authority, loyalty, hope, and sacrifice in Gotham.
Batman breaks minor laws to punish greater crimes for good results. Batman, despite his vigilante approach still has faith in the law and order, of society. He works hard to catch the villains and turn them over to the law. The law depends on Batman to do the work they legally cannot do. Batman makes it possible for the law to easily come across criminals even when it crosses the lines of being legal. He never seeks any public recognition, and he takes full responsibility when he needs to. Batman does what others are afraid to do. Batman takes justice and authority into his own hands; to ensure the goodness in Gotham isn’t destroyed. Gotham city has a bright light, with a Batman symbol inside of it. The light is on top of a building, this light represents Batman; a symbol of authority, in the city of Gotham.
No matter what Batman has to do; he makes sure that their authority and that the people of Gotham city is safe, at any means necessary. A scene in The Dark Knight, where Batman is a shows authority, is When The Joker puts fear in the Gotham people. ...e only way to succeed are by getting rid of Batman. The Joker represents evil; he seeks chaos and ultimately the destruction of order. He doesn’t value material things. When Joker is in the room with the stacks of money; he put gasoline on his half of the money and set it on fire. Joker burning the money showed that he didn’t care about anything more than just chaos, and destruction.
In summary, Batman and The Joker are different in many ways. The Joker represents evil; he’s a symbol of destruction, where he goes, or whatever he does, it involves something evil. He is motivated by his intense desire to destroy order and justice in Gotham. As for The Dark Knight, he stands for Authority, sacrifice, and hope in Gotham. He protects Gotham city, and he believes that Gotham City has a structure that can be fixed. Batman represents everything that The Joker goes against.
