The cult classic Lion King was made with the inspiration from another classic, The Tragedy of Hamlet, better known as just Hamlet. The two tales tell of a prince with an uncle who is chasing the throne, but, they are stifled by their older brother being King. The dishonorable and wicked uncle kills the king and assumes his role on the throne. The queen by her side tries to manage the kingdom. The uncle sends away his nephew, by this point the kingdom is close to collapse, either by military forces or famine. The noble Prince returns to root out their uncle and terminate their role as King. The Prince eliminates the uncle and finishes what they had started by avenging their father's unrighteous death at the hands of their own family. The plot …show more content…

Another notable example of madness is shown through fair Ophelia, she is tormented by the demons that reside within herself after the brutal murder of her father, and she mutters nonsense to her brother, Laertes.
