The basic fact that describes human evolution is the continuous expansion of the human population and civilization. Over the decades, humanity has expanded outward finding new places to settle, live and explore. The evolutionary adaption to such a wide range of environments as inhabited by the human species is the force that has shaped both the human biological and cultural evolution (Smith & Davies, 2012). With the continuous expansion, humanity will have to align itself with the nature of the universe which is change, and Smith and Davies (2012) affirm that colonization of space will be nothing less than an insurance policy for the survival of human species and survival. The best planet to colonize first is the moon, attributed to the fact it the closest heavenly body to earth, only four days from the earth (Smith & Davies, 2012). In addition to this, the moon also contains some of the physiological resources that are very fundamental to human survival. Agricultural experiments on earth have made promising break through on some crops that can be grown on the moon and they encompass wheat, soybeans, lettuce and potatoes (Schrunk et al., 2008). If human kind is to conquer the solar system and reach for the stars, we must first start closer to home. In such a situation, creating a colony on our nearest partner celestial body, the Moon, would create an ideal opportunity to learn and explore technical capabilities and human characteristics in space. On board, there would be plenty of science to do, plenty of fun to be had, and plenty of knowledge to learn. However, a lunar base of this kind of complexity can not just be slapped together; it must be designed and detailed beforehand to ensure a safe working environment for those inside and around the lunar base.

One of the qualities of the human race is that humans love to explore and find new things, like how Christopher Columbus found America. With most of our planet documented now, where do we have to go? The answer is simply one of the only places we haven’t yet (or may never) explore all of: space. Wars may be waged over land on earth, as there isn’t any new land to find there. So, we can go into space where unexplored land can be conquered and colonized. And while it may not seem like it, in the near future, it may be possible to colonize humans in space.
However, humans don't necessarily have to live in a planet. The Moon is a highly reliable place to live on, as scientists at NASA have found nearly 10 billion tons of water on it. It is also fairly close to Earth; it only takes about 48 hours to reach the Moon. In addition, it has the same it is roughly the same distance from the Sun as the Earth. In fact, this is such a reliable place to inhabit, Russia plans to launch a moon colonization program in the year 2030. I think we can all look forward to this, but there are many flaws on the moon. As a country we need to start investing more money and research into space technology. Programs currently exist for this effort, but the potential for research and progress is limited by a lack of funding; compared to other government funded programs, aerospace funding is pitiful. Continued research in space technology is a necessary step in our growth and development not just as a country but also as entire human race. The first basicbuildings will be tent like and block harmful rays from the sun. As more material are mined and collected, the building will increase in complexity. because of the lack of weather on the moon the structure will be able to reach greater heights with less materials. Also, the limitless applications and new education that manned flights can bring to us from on site human interactions could lead to another technological and industrial revolution like the original lunar programs had done for us during the Gemini and Apollo programs.
