The causes of World War One and World War Two can be traced back to political and economical roots. During the times prior, during, and post both the wars, all of the involved countries were making reckless political decisions, for example: excessive alliances that were both confusing and contradictive of purpose or treaties that had their fingers pointing a little too much at one country. Also during both World War One and World War Two, all of the countries were had little to no government, economically speaking, but that didn’t stop them from spending all of their money and using all of their other resources in order to have the biggest and the best armies, did it? The alliances were a huge part of World War One. For one reason, there was quite an excessive amount of them and all because of paranoia. I think that making so many alliances with so many different countries only made suspicion worse and tension high, especially because no one knew exactly why they were making them. For example, the Triple Alliance had no real reason to become an alliance. Even in the negotiation documents they said, “In case a Great Power non-signatory to the present Treaty should threaten the security of the states of one of the High Contradicting Parties…” (Article 4, firstworldwar.com). Notice how they say “in case” not “when”, which states the fact that they’re only making this alliance in case of emergency. Little did they know, the alliances that all of the involved countries were making with each other were actually hurting them instead of helping. Which concludes stupid political decision number one. During World Ward Two, all of the European countries were still making questionable and reckless decisions, for example: Treaty Of Versaill... ... middle of paper ... ..., let him get away with it! Later on, once Hitler had more power and control over things, he decided to invade Poland in search of more Jews, but luckily France and Britain had heard of Hitler’s rampage and decided to put an end to it by waging war on Germany two days after the invasion started. This little war started a large-scale world war that would from then on known as the largest armed conflict between countries in history. Due to the both political problems that include the inattentive and rash political decisions made during both World War One and World War Two and the economical issues that are made up of the lack of control over the countries occupants we had not one, but two world wars. Studying the conflicts that start large scale wars like World War One and World War Two will help us prevent such destructive wars from happening again in the future.
