Recommended: Impacts of war essay

"We will bring the terrorists to justice; or we will bring justice to the terrorists. Either way, justice will be done." George Walker Bush, 2001. This quote made by President Bush in 2001 after the September. At the time, this quote was exactly what most Americans wanted to hear. The word Revenge perfectly describes what we wanted from Saddam Hussein. As the years have gone by, Revenge has been in the back of our heads. As the intensity of war has dropped, we have gone on with our lives. The cause of the war has affected our lives today. Many people won’t admit it but the war has caused problems in the world instead of helping. The effect of the war has changed all Americans lives in some way, shape or form.

The cause of the war has to do with one main subject. Money is the reason why we are at war. Many different branches of problems come off the subject of money and the war but the main cause of the war is money. Through the tuff economical times we are facing now, many people blame the war. It’s true; the war is the main cause of our poor economy. At the beginning of the war in 2001, most Americans did not believe the war would go on this long, and affect our lives to this proportion.

The topic of greed is one cause of the war. The war ended up being a greedy contest between us and Iraq. Greed not being the only cause of the war plays a good part of why we are paying ridiculous amounts of money for gasoline. We, the citizens of the United States, are very greedy when it comes to oil, money and power. Another cause of the war is power. The United States thought and still thinks that Sudan Hussein has nuclear bombs. For some reason, the United States government didn’t like the idea of another country ...

...aling with. Terrorism is the war’s main cause and affects the soldiers the most. Since the war, Terrorist attacks have become one of American’s biggest fears. From having to worry about many different aspects of life to terrorism is a horrible way to live. President Bush made the decisions he did on facts and what he thought was best for the country. If the US never went to war with Iraq, what would the world be like now? Questions like these, still haunt us, and will never be answered. The war has impacted everyone’s lives in some shape or form. Without the war, no one knows what life would be like but we do know that because of war, the world will never be the same.

However, it is important to recognize that although there are wars that are fought simply out of stupidity and cruelty of the government; some wars, as cruel as they are, are might be fought for something more. But no matter what is the reason for a conflict and no matter how much there is of misunderstanding between the two sides, people should realize that all of us are human in a war that brings death, and that we are all more alike than different although we spent so much time building the wall that separates us.
