In the story “ The Cask of Amontillado” written by Edgar Allan Poe, one of the main characters, Montresor seeks for revenge on his enemy Fortunato. Montresor wants revenge because Fortunato has insulted him. Not only has Fortunato insulted him , Montresor explains this is not the first time Fortunato has done something to upset him. This time, Montresor will get his revenge and will not stop until he’s accomplished his goal!. Montresor wants revenge but also he does not want to get caught.
