Theory of The Big Bang
The big bang theory is known as the most popular theory of how our universe came to be. It isn’t the only theory ever proposed but it is the most recognized because it seems to make the most sense. It takes into consideration other theories that help explain different aspects of the overall theory. It doesn’t just explain how the universe came into existence, it also offers an explanation of everything inside of it.
The theory really starts by saying there was nothing and then there was something, this is because it is really unknown what existed before. Versions of the theory suggest that the mass known as the universe came from space. Some experts disagree that the mass came from space because they believe that space

Some experts believe that there was an explosion that caused the mass to be thrown out into space like the name of the theory suggests, big bang. There are versions of this idea that theorize the blast occurred from some type of ancient unknown energy. Others believe that since there wasn’t anything that existed before the big bang there couldn’t possibly have been an explosion and that the mass just appeared. This too is another unanswered question in the theory of the big bang that will remain unanswered because we cannot prove or disprove any of …show more content…
Some scientific experts take the expansion theory yet another step further. They believe that galaxies go through a series of expansion and compression rather than a onetime occurrence of expansion. It is proposed that we are in the middle of an expansion phase right now. If this is true then there will be a time when the universe compresses back to its original state. There has yet to be proof of this theory because we haven’t experienced any signs of our galaxy compressing.
The expansion mentioned in the big bang theory can also suggest that there are other universes in existence. Physicists believe that when the small mass known as the beginning of the universe began to expand, it could have done so in such a rapid way with such force that it let off different sections. These sections are thought to have potentially grown at different rates, causing a difference in time and space. These differences could result in other universes with completely different traits than ours. Although more research needs to be done, physicists feel very strongly on their theory of a
In the last hundred years we have made enormous progress in studying not our galaxy but ones billions of light-years away. Only a few hundred years ago our world seemed so big that there were areas of the world that had never been charted and people believed that the Earth was flat (and yes for some reason a few people still believe that today). If we continue to make progress at thus rate the universe will actually begin to seem smaller because of how much more we might know.
The Big Bang theory is a theory that states that the universe originated as a single mass, which subsequently exploded. The entire universe was once all in a hot and dense ball, but about 20 million years ago, it exploded. This explosion hurled material all over the place and all mater and space was created at that point in time. The gas that was hurled out cooled and became our stellar system. A red shift is a shift towards longer wavelengths of celestial objects. An example of this is the "Doppler shift." Doppler shift is what makes a car sound lower-pitched as it moves further away. As it turns out, a special version of this everyday life effect applies to light as well. If an astronomical object is moving away from the Earth, its light will be shifted to longer (red) wavelengths. This is significant because this theory indicates the speed of recession of galaxies and the distances between galaxies.
In many theories that come into the light in the scientific field, there are always gaps, there are always issues within each that have no explanation to them. For example, the big bang theory, this is a theory that attempts to explain how the universe was created. This theory states that the universe began as a very small, dense, and hot ball (Imagine the universe all put into a ball the size of a pen tip) with no stars or atoms. This ball then expanded incredibly quickly. The universe was then formed as the way it is now. Personally, I feel as if this theory has a major hole that prevents me from believing it is possible. This hole is, “What exactly put this ball into motion in the first place?”
Matter, as we conceive it today, did not exist after the Big Bang, because the temperature was too high for that. While trying to join protons and electrons, light continually crossed apart. Only when the universe had cooled to 3,000 K, the atoms are held together and the light was beginning to happen.
The agnostic’s assertion may be expressed by the sentence, “We cannot know whether there is a God or not, and we cannot know whether the universe has been in existence since eternity or not.” He believes that nothing is or can be known. If the hypothesis “Matter had a beginning” is confirmed, the assertion that “Matter had no beginning” would be refuted and the contention “We cannot know whether it had a beginning or not” will be proved wrong. Thus, demonstration of the fact that matter had a beginning is a blow not only to atheism but also to agnosticism and skepticism. Once the hypothesis of the beginning and creation of matter has been confirmed, the atheists should abandon their disbelief and the agnostics their skepticism. If you remember the words in the sura The Prophets, verse 30, “Will they not believe even then?” this statement in the verse that described the Big Bang is a sign according to which the unbelievers will stick to their own convictions, or lack of conviction. It has become clear that an agnostic is no different than a man who worships the cow and the denial of the atheist is tantamount to the adoration of fire; these people base their philosophies on absolute lack of evidence, sheer delusion, total lack of logic and scientific reasoning.
To begin with, scientists should continue to research the multiverse because it is backed up by many scientific theories. With this in mind, “a scientific theory is a coherent group of propositions formulated to explain a group of facts or phenomena in the natural world and repeatedly confirmed through experiment or observation” (Dictionary). Even though the multiverse is not actually a theory because it certainly is not falsifiable, the concept of the multiverse is made up of many scientific theories that can be tested. There are two theories about the multiverse that make me ponder the whole idea of the multiverse, with the first one being the concept of inflation. The theory of inflation states that there was exponential expansion in the early stages of the universe. This theory manages to explain what happened with the big bang. With this growth of the universe, there could be as a result, “other regions in the universe that did the same thing and are forever beyond our horizon” (Phillips). The universes that could have been formed during this expansion, are
The Big Bang Theory is one of the most important, and most discussed topics in cosmology today. As such, it encompasses several smaller components that attempt to explain what happened in the moments after creation, and how the universe we know today came from such a fiery, chaotic universe in the wake of the Big Bang. One major component of the Big Bang theory is nucleosynthesis. We know that several stellar phenomena (including stellar fusion and various types of super novae) are responsible for the formation of all heavy elements up through Plutonium, however, after the advent of the Big Bang theory, we needed a way to explain what types of matter were created to form the earliest stars.!
The number of theories surrounding how the universe materialized is nearly endless, but Krauss’ thesis is one of the most convincing and buttressed that has been proposed. Lawrence Krauss is one of the most well respected theoretical physicists and cosmologists in America and has done extensive research on how and why the universe is in existence. Like the title of his book, A Universe from Nothing: Why There is Something Rather than Nothing, his entire theory surrounds the fact the universe was created from nothing. In support of his argument, he explores the weight and shape of the universe, dark matter and energy, quantum mechanics, visual particles, and expansion rates. While the world may never know exactly how the universe was created, society is getting closer to figuring it out and Krauss may have been the one to figure it out.
The Big Bang is a theory that the universe was created in a very large
There are various viewpoints on what happened before the Big Bang, however it is a very big question. Astrophysicists have claimed that there is no answer to what happened before the Big Bang however there are several theories. It is supposed that one can hypothesize as there are no tools to reach the truth.
which is the big bang. But the big bang is only a theory and hasn’t
To answer the first question, according to many physicists, astronomers, and especially cosmologists the multiverse theory is a definite possibility. While there may not be a consensus on the issue, a reasonable number agree that our universe is, “But one of many pocket universes within a wider expanse called the multiverse” (Jenkins and Perez, 42). This infinite number of diverse universes originated in the primordial vacuum of space as a “tiny patch of spacetime…as small as a billionth the size of a proton” (Jenkins and Perez, 48), and underwent a period of rapid inflation. From such growth, all happening at different rates due to variations in constants and physical properties, pockets formed, ...
Footballers are overpaid. Footballers should not get paid 2 million a week for kicking a ball. Football is waste of talent, it a waste of time. 22 players running round half naked and kicking a ball? Plus they are getting paid. What has the world gone to? This is what some people think.
Since the dawn of intelligent man, humanity has speculated about the origins of the universe.
The big bang theory is an attempt to explain how the world began. The big bang theory begins with what is called a “singularity.” This term is used to describe an area in space which defies all the known laws of physics. Singularities are thought to exist at the core of black holes. Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that matter is pressed together into an infinite amount of pressure. The dense hot mass of the singularity slowly expanded. This process is called inflation. As the singularity expanded the universe went from dense and hot to cool and expansive. Inflation is still continuing on today which means that the universe is continually expanding.
