Carmel Beach
Beach is a place that makes unforgettable memories for people who go there. It is a place that people go to forget their busy life and the problems they have. Carmel beach is one of the beaches that has lots of positive energy in it. When I walked through the street of Carmel to the beach, I felt something different from other places that I have been before. Iconic Carmel-by-the-Sea is known for its many attractions, but perhaps none more so than its splendid, white-sand beach. Whether remaining above on the path along the picturesque, Cypress tree-lined Scenic Road, or feeling the sand beneath your feet, Carmel Beach remains awe-inspiring to visitors who are seeing it for the first time, or locals making their daily pilgrimage. There are so many interesting facts about this historical place. One of the facts is about ice cream ordinance. An abnormal law of disallowing selling and eating ice cream on open boulevards in Carmel-by-the-Sea was on the books and the annulment of the law happened to be one of the expert business center purposes of Clint Eastwood's battle for mayor in 1986. He and the new council elected

The major fact that most of the people find out when they walk into Carmel, is the beauty of the place. When I stepped into the beach side, I saw The reflect of the sun from the sands. It made a goldish color, which grabbed my eyes and made me feel that I am walking in a treasure sea. The mixer of goldish sands and the bluish ocean made an unforgettable picture in my mind. The old stylish houses made me feel that I am walking in a very historical museum. Through the street, the smell of melting chocolate from a candy store was pulling me inside the store. It was very difficult to walk by the stores and houses without looking at them and thinking how significant this place
Semaphore is a classic Adelaide beach supporting many facilities. However, this would not be the case if coastal management was not put into progress. Coastal management is a way of supporting the world’s coasts, by using many techniques from construction of structures in which prevents wave energy from reaching the shore to planned strategies. Factors of this includes; rising sea levels, erosion, long and short term drift, sand movement and marine biology. The importance of coastal management is quite significant as it will help to prevent coastal erosion. In addition to this, without coastal management the world will be affect economically, environmentally as well as socially. Without the strategies involving the management of the coast,
Why do we search for something greater than our existence itself? What makes us crave the unknown, the unexplored? Since the beginning of time, humanity as a whole has always tried to better itself, to perfect the art of civilization. The Beach is a prime example of human kind's quest for the perfect society, our own Utopia. In our minds, a Utopia is the "perfect" community, where no flaws are established, no problems occur. Yet, human kind typically will always destroy itself, no matter how perfect their community seemingly is. Deterioration of these makeshift communities is inevitable. This is exactly what happened to the community at the Beach. Their discreet society was single handedly destroyed by one man, named Richard. Richard, the main focus of the film, displayed the three most inevitable traits of human kind. Richard exposed the Beach by one simple map, afraid of leaving the comforts of home completely behind; he inhabited Earner Goubvich's statement that "The innocent eye sees nothing," and he exposed the Utopia for what it was, not for what everyone thought it was. Richard was the sunglasses that filtered and separated reality from fantasy, and in the end, destroyed the Beach's utopia completely, by introducing pure reality.
They discover the beach, and it is as beautiful and idyllic as it is reputed to be. Yet over time it becomes clear that beach culture, as Richard calls it, has troubling, even deadly, undercurrents. Spellbinding and hallucinogenic, The Beach is a look at a generation in their twenties, who, burdened with the legacy of the preceding generation and saturated by popular culture, long for an unruined landscape, but find it difficult to experience the world firsthand.
The social setting, I chose was the beach in Hilton Head Island South Carolina. Due to the relatively close proximity to where I live, it was easy to make an extended weekend getaway not to mention perfect timing for this observation experiment. My spouse and I rented a condo along the beach which also has public access for anyone to use. In between the parking lot was a gated walk way that led to the beach. This beach at low tide had a large area that can accommodate everyone from walkers, bickers, runners, and tanners, and for people to put out lounge chairs and beach chairs. During high tide the beach becomes much smaller therefore much more crowded which is not ideal especially when having an 18 month old with us. Along the beach there was some lifeguard posts spaced roughly around 150 feet. The lifeguard at one post was female and the other was male around their early or mid-twenties wearing a red swimsuit and/or red shirt and shorts as well as sunglasses and a large umbrella over their observation post. Nearby there was a small stand where attended by someone offering to rent beach chairs and umbrellas. This observation was done on a Monday morning, June 18, 2016. It was mostly sunny with some cloud cover, but nothing that would dampen the mood of being on the beach. The water was fine temperature wise, however for the beach the waves were nearly
An Analysis of Dover Beach Dover Beach intrigued me as soon as I read the title. I have a great love of beaches, so I feel a connection with the speaker as he or she stands on the cliffs of Dover, looking out at the sea and reflecting on life. Arnold successfully captures the mystical beauty of the ocean as it echoes human existence and the struggles of life. The moods of the speaker throughout the poem change dramatically, as do the moods of the sea. The irregular, undesirable rhyme is representative of these inharmonious moods and struggles.
The people of the Northwest Coast believed that they were surrounded by supernatural beings interfering with the natural world at all times.
Benefits of: a. Clarification: Clarification promotes mutual understanding between the counsellor and the client by requesting clarification or elaboration on ambiguous or unclear statements. It promotes effective communication and helps the counsellor gain a better understanding of the client's thoughts, feelings, and experiences, resulting in more targeted and insightful interventions. It also enhances rapport; the therapeutic alliance and mutual trust can be enhanced by the counsellor and client demonstrating interest in one another and actively listening to what the client has to say by asking clarifying questions. b. Confronting: Encourages understanding, to help clients become more self-aware and gain understanding of underlying issues,
The Sandy Beach The sandy beach and surf zones are two environments, which are usually found along the edges of the sea. The sandy shore environment is made up of sand and grains of rock and crushed shells while the surf zone environment is made up mainly of water. Although the sandy beach zone is said to be one of the most common environments along the shore, it is considered a very harsh and dynamic environment. Sandy beach shores usually have very harsh physical conditions. The constant sand movement presents a problem for living organisms.
“The Beach” is a recent movie that has been released on videocassette. The movie starts off with a young man traveling around the world in pursuit for a perfect society. During his journey he visits Bangkok, Thailand where he meets a rather unstable and somewhat insane man. Throughout their conversation, the insane man kept referring to an island of paradise. On this island, there are beautiful waterfalls, crystal clear water, and enormous fields of marijuana. The exact environment the young man was searching for. However, the man refused to tell the young man where it was. The next day, the young man found a map under his door leading to the enchanted island. When the young men went to the guy’s house he found him in a pool of blood, dead from suicide.
“To stay on the beach forever. Very easy…” (202). The beach is a fantasy for its inhabitants as they find it is so easy to have necessities of life fulfilled as well as feel they can live on such fantasy world for eternity, without any urge to remember their previous lives. The dependency between Francoise and her family and friends
A new day has begun. Slowly ascending into the cold dark sky, the sun glows vibrantly with delight. The passionate colours fill the sky with warmth like the pink grapefruits, zesty lemons, citrus oranges and cherry red. The sea so subtle sparkles preciously as it strolls up against the shore. The crystal water that stretch out far into the horizon gets darker and deeper but stays very calm.
When we first walked in I felt a split breeze and the smell of candy and roses rushed around the store. I was so overwhelmed by all of the colors and bling in the store that I almost fainted. I was ready to leave until I saw a light shining from the corner of my eye. I turned around and saw the limited edition rainbow rhinestone sunglasses or so I thought. I couldn’t believe what I was looking at.
In "Dover Beach," Matthew Arnold creates a dramatic monologue of the Victorian Era that shows how perceptions can be misleading. Arnold conveys the theme of "Dover Beach" through three essential developments: the technical qualities of the poem itself, symbolism, and imagery. The theme of illusion versus reality in "Dover Beach" reflects the speaker's awareness of the incompatibility between what is perceived and what truly is real.
In my opinion, all actions have some kind of consequences, even if its a good or bad consequence, you'll always have one.
