Introduction The word ‘computer’ nowadays is very famous among all of us. Almost each and every one of us owned their own personal computer. In fact, a portable personal computer or also known as laptop was introduced the world by Adam Osborne in1981. Most people prefer to use laptop because it is so easy to carry anywhere you go. As the laptop getting famous throughout the years, they try to make it as convenient as they can. Like example, laptop from the past was quite heavy and big. Ever since then, they made it even slimmer, lighter and even smaller. I myself start to use computer ever since I was 10 years old and I can see a very big transformation in terms of the creation and the technology. What Is Computer? In general, a computer is a programmable machine. The principal characteristics of a computer are it responds to a specific set of instruction in a well-defined manner as well as execute a prerecorded list of programs. It also has the ability to store, retrieve and process data. We can use computer to type documents, send e-mail and browse the internet. We can also use computer to handle stuff like database management, presentations, accounting, spreadsheets, games and more. What Is Computer Hardware? Hardware is all the physical parts of a computer. The stuff you can actually see and touch. The Basic Of Computer Hardware A computer system consists of inputs, outputs, processing and storage. One of the basic computer hardware is mainboard. It was previously called motherboard. It’s the main component in a computer. The motherboard serves to connect all of the parts of a computer together. It’s also can be called the ‘backbone’ of a computer since it’s the hardware to make sure the computer works well. I actually have one experience where I have no idea how to refill the ink for the ink jet printer. I am very fortunate because the printer had existed during my elementary school year. I am really fascinated by the growing of this computer hardware.

The invention of computers has made a huge change in human civilization and society, by changing the way people think. Computers replaced jobs and tedious repetitive thoughts that were done by human originally. People became more and more reliant on computers, and thus, computers became essential to our lives. Computers can manufacture products quickly, and eliminate possible human errors. As technology progresses, new ideas have been brought into computer to make them perform more efficiently. Also, scientists and engineers tend to make things “smaller”, so we can enjoy the benefits from electronic devices anywhere and anytime. Therefore, size and efficiency are two main points for consumers. Desktop computer and laptop computer are representatives for each of these concepts. Although desktops and laptops come from the same origin, they are different in many ways.
The market for laptop computers has distinguished itself as one of the fastest growing segments of the computer industry. Throughout its growth and development, this market, like many others, has changed a great deal as a result of customer demands. In an effort to cater to these demands, companies like Dell and HP look to market trends to aid in the development of new products.
