The Avengers is a great movie, and it is really worth the two hours spent to watch it. It’s an American superhero movie based on the Marvel Comics superhero team created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby. Some of the well-known fictional superheroes, The hulk, Captain America, Iron man, and Thor are part of it. Loki, Thor’s evil brother, gained access to the tesseract, a cube ice of unlimited powerful energy found in the S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace-keeping agency, which has as chief director a man called Nick Fury. As Loki prepared himself to destroy the earth, using the Tesseract, Nick Fury started to recruit an army of superheroes included Captain America, Iron man, The Hulk, Thor, black widow, and Clint …show more content…
Most of the movie takes place in New York City in 2012. The main actors are Samuel L. Jackson as Nick fury, Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey as Iron man, Mark Ruffalo as the hulk, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Overall, the story is about a superhero team who collaborate with each other to retrieve a source of unlimited power that a villain intended to use to destroy the humanity. The actors have many qualifications to play their role in the movie, and all of them are longtime character actors. They play several other movies individually, and some of them probably met during the production of the avengers. Although they are all qualified as longtime actors, but in the avengers, some of them did a great job and some didn’t. Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, did a great job in how he play the S.H.I.E.l.D chief director role. He speaks with seriousness and leadership. His voice tone shows the audience that Nick Fury is the guy who is in charge of everything and the leader of the avengers. One part of the movie that support the Samuel Jackson’s great performance is when Loki gained …show more content…
It has some very good and bad thing in it. One of the best thing in it is the final battle scene where the superheroes collaborate with each other to attend their goal. That promotes ‘unity is strength.’ Another good thing in the movie is the end where they show how the people are honoring and cheering the superheroes while there is a man who didn’t support them by saying they are responsible for the mass destruction of the city. That shows no matter what happens there will always be a negative comment. A bad thing in the movie would be the setting. A place like New York City shouldn’t be shown in such a devastating state because of the 9/11 tragic event. This might be a harsh memory for those who had a close family dead in the September 2011 terrorist attack. Another bad thing in the movie is that it takes too long for the superheroes to come with a solution. In term of fiction, the movie is very interesting to watch, but when it comes to reality, there is a lot to discuss about. A lesson that might be learned from the movie is that the giant piece of problem can be broken up into smaller pieces if we collaborate with each other. Because unity is strength. Some People may have a different lesson learned from it such as no matter how powerful someone is he/she will always need help from others, because a force that isn’t balanced
If there is an overall lesson that you can learn from this movie than it is to always be true to yourself. This movie has shown that staying true to yourself can lead to much better things and make you happier. What I have learned over the course of my existence is that you have to make yourself happy before others. You will soon find that what you want in life will come faster and be more meaningful if you believe in yourself.
Overall, The Boondock Saints was a great film. According the internet movie database they give the movie a 7.8 out of 10 and say “Great movie with lots of action” (IMBd).I could tell there was a lot of thought, hard work, and creativity involved in the making of this film. Every part was created to portray a certain feeling or response and was cleverly designed to remain realistic and authentic. The filmmakers used to create a sense of truth and justice. Watching the film was a satisfying and enjoyable experience. This movie was exciting and emotional at the same time. It was nice to watch a movie with religious aspects. The thought of good triumphing over evil always leaves a warm sensation in me. Now I can not wait to watch the sequel.
In its best moments, the movie is a strong, anti-war documentary. It has truly moving moments of bereaved loved ones, mangled bodies in the streets, incredulous soldiers in Iraq, angry Iraqis and innocent teenagers being manipulated into enlisting. In this way, the movie presents a version of the war on Iraq that isn't shown much in the media. It improves our understanding of the war by giving it a human face.
I feel that the movie has no weaknesses. This is because even though I had a few things I didn’t like such as the anonymity given, I realised that there was a reason for this which I explained in my strengths of the movie below.
The characters have done a great job giving insight into what it must really feel like in WWII. The experience they gave during the film really shows great effort on love, pain and sorrow. But they all have a role to play because they are dealing with war and they want us to know what that feels like. Most people who are alive nowadays have never experienced what war was like so they figured to show and have people understand. Overall I think this film gave a good explanation of how things were back then and how things work now.
Personally speaking, the movie wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the best. Towards the beginning of the movie, I didn’t think there was any point to the story and was completely lost. As the movie
The films name is “Thor” released in 2011 and created by “Marvel” Studios. The film was published by “Joseph Michael Straczynski” and directed by “Kenneth Branagh.” The films running time is about 2 hours long. The main featured actors in the film are, “Chris Hemsworth, and Natalie Portman. The film is based on a fictional writing in Norse Mythology with characters that have unforeseen powers given to them to protect realms of the universe.
The movie was mainly about which group was more superior over the other. I thought the imagery was pretty good. I thought this because I liked the scenery of the movie and the storms but none of the camera angles helped us viewers interpret different situations and what was going to happen. Overall I would give the movie a 3.5 out of
This film is set during the Vietnam War. It follows a group of friends from a small, industrial Pennsylvania town. Half of the men of the group goes to war, while the other half stays home. Michael (Robert De Niro), Steven (John Savage) and Nick (Christopher) are the three men who go to war. Stan (John Cazale) George Dzundza (John) and Chuck Aspegren (Axel) are the three who stay home, along with Nick’s girlfriend Linda (Meryl Streep) and Steven’s new wife Angela (Rutanya Alda). The film chronicles how war changes those who experienced it, including how they interact with their friends once they return.
...r, this movie is lack of depth of storyline. The audiences can even predict what will happen in the next scenes. Moreover, the ending of this movie is too cheesy and irrational according to me. If only they change the ending to become more interesting and rational, I will give a four or five stars out of five. In spite of a lame twist ending, this movie is a perfect example to show that managers should be able to motivate and challenge their employee. It is important to remember that a happy employee means a productive employee.
The film takes quite a long time in developing the characters. Rober De Niro plays the role of Mike. He is quickly established as the leader of the group. He makes daring moves that make the rest of the group respect him. The scene in the beginning of the film where the men have just got off work and leave to go to the bar would be a perfect example. They are all riding in the car together trying to pass a truck. The character of Nick played by
I have to disagree with both these reviews. I believed that the story was brilliantly written and the cinematography was beautiful. This movie touched me and had me in tears which believe me is hard to do. I do agree with the New York Times and New Yorker that it was a little dragged out and that Kiera Knightly acting was over rated. Other than that I would defiantly recommend this movie.
As such, a few actors stand out from the pack, but no one delivers a truly world-shaking performance. Fionn Whitehead is good as the main soldier on the beach we follow, who the credits tell us is Tommy. He makes you understand his character’s motivations and actions through his nonverbal acting. Tom Hardy does well with the very little he’s given, as Nolan once again puts him mostly behind a mask as the pilot Farrier. He doesn’t have much dialogue, but he uses his facial expressions and body language to make you feel for his character.
I view this as one of the few truly great movies of all time. I say this because it carries all of the basic cinematic elements that compose a great film. These elements begin with the characters. You can hardly expect to enjoy a movie if the characters are not believable. In this particular movie the characters were not only believable but you could identify yourself a little in one or all of the characters. One thing that can have an unfortunate detraction from even a good movie is anachronisms. The only one I found was a halogen bulb in a light fixture. However, I doubt anyone would notice were they not looking for one. This movie can be enjoyed by even the most mentally devoid of audiences. The reason for this is that most people do not like being bossed around or forced to do anything. It did make me think about how little freedom we actually have in life and how we all need to live just a little bit more.
There are many positive things and negative things about the movie and the story. In the movie
