In 1837, in a speech given by Ralph Waldo Emerson called the “ American Scholar “ he made a remark about books. He stated, “ Books are the best of things, well used; abused among the worst.” Within this quote, he stated the importance of book within a society, about its use and impact. However, he spoke about the subject in a very distinct manner, causing the rise of many ideas and interpretation of the quote. To a certain extent this quote is true, books are one of the best tools that one can utilize to do almost anything when it is used properly. This suggests that when books are not properly used and read, it cause the misdirection of an individual. It is safe to say that everyone in the entirety of this world cannot share 100 percent of their belief and feeling of everything they experience and also seen, now this contribute as to why different people can get different perception of the same thing. Now lets look back at the start of the Christianity with the Bible. Every Bible is filled with the same information but different people believe in different things causing the development of different section of the religion that can misguide a group of people in a wrong path of life, even on becoming a terrorist groups such as the KKK. Not to discredit any of these religion, however Islam also has the same issue. The disability to some of the leader to interpret the book cause them to have different sect within the religion. Due to the misunderstanding of the book, one of those group would kill and do anything necessary to supposedly get closer to their god even thought that was not what was stated within the holy book. However there are period is time where the use of book is not of significance, where it was not used to gain any sorts of ideas or input in any aspect their life. Back within the days of hunting and gathering, the use of letters to keep a memory across the centuries to come and also to spread their ideas was not yet to be invented, they live on a simple aspect of necessity. They do what they need to do to stay alive and that was it everyday, They were happy and satisfied with what they had. They did not have an idea and belief that they can misinterpret and not understand causing them to do action against their will or not within their intention. The future is also a threat to book, the availability of information at the tip of your finger also reduce the need for books. Often times, our action is just based on what is around us, what is happening is what shaping the nation. For example, the presidential election, It is highly probable that there are many people in America that is oblivious to the fact regarding Donald Trump. However the society around them shaped who they are supporting, this is because of social media such as, Facebook, youtube, twitter, and also many social media sites that is out there. The people that knows what is up just solely trigger their friends to have the same feeling about the topic that they feel eager about. This is how books
