“The American dream belongs to all of us.” This is a great quote by Kamala Harris, stating that all Americans can pursue their dream some way, no matter what the dream. Everyone’s dream can be different, and everyone starts in a different place. This means that it can be harder for some to pursue their American dream compared to others. There is no limitation or anything that can hold you back from your dream. There will be obstacles, but you just have to push around the hard things in life and stay strong in order to pursue your dream. The American dream is different for everyone, but to generalize the American dream for everyone it’s basically doing what makes you happy in life and having the thing you have always wanted as a kid. The back round, race, gender or culture of the person does not matter, and it is proven by this young man. Henry Ford started at the bottom as an average man just like anyone else. He lived on a farm and found interests in taking apart watches and little things like that. After a while everything started to add up and he graduated high school and became an apprentice machinist. This is when Ford started experiments on gasoline engines. This eventually became the start of the whole ford empire of cars and trucks. In 2008, his networth was measured around 188.1 billion dollars. Henry Ford wasn’t given that money, he worked hard for the money he made and earned it. This guy lived his dream afterwards doing what he loved and doing what he had interest in. Not only that, but Ford also had a lot of money to make life even better and get the wants in life. Obviously money isn’t everything, but it definitely gave him the ability to live life a lot easier. This story of Henry Ford shows how the average farm boy was able to pursue his american dream.
