Walt Disney’s company was one of the biggest contributors out of the other big animation corporations to the American animation industry and culture as well to the support effort for the allies of WWII by providing the government with animated propaganda and Ignisia.
Animation played a major role for the advancement of motion film in 1900’s. Before motion picture camera, frame by frame photographs were used to understand animal and human movement. Eventually a series of famous cartoons would be created which would lead to the expansion of animation studios in New York and California. One famous animation studio that opened up was Walt Disney, which would eventually dominate animation for many years. Disney animation brought many spectacular films and entertainment to people of the U.S.A. Disneys was dragged into WWII as it was requested by the government for its talented art and propaganda during WWII. But Disney was able to continue to strive in producing more animated films after its effort for the war. Walt Disney was a cinematographer who took his career into animation.Walt graduated from Kansas City Art Institute, where he met Ub Iwerks, a greatly skilled animator and Walts collaborated partner. Walts career would begin while working for the Kansas City Film Ad Company in Missouri in 1920. They would be the founders of the Laugh-O-gram Films studio working to to produce several cartoons based off fables and fairy tales. On December 8th 1941, Walt Disney signed a contract with United States Military committing to releasing pro American animations and leasing space with in his studio. Of Course with Walt 's extremely patriotic morals this was not a problem. Other aspects of the government such as the treasury drafted Walt and his artists to increase pro war time support among citizens. By 1942, 90% of Disney employees were creating films for wartime efforts.
Walt Disney had many accomplishments in his lifetime. In 1932 he won an Academy Award for "Flowers and Trees" in the best cartoon category. It was the first of 48 Academy Awards, which Disney would win in his celebrated life. Walt Disney also received more then 950 honors and citations from all nations along with seven Emmys. When “Steamboat Willie” came out for the first time on September 19,1928, Mickey and Minnie Mouse were born. Walt Disney Studios was a hit. Then, when the first full-length movie “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was released in 1937 it broke all box-office records and Walt Disney Studios became well known nationwide. But that was just the beginning for Disney. He has more then fifty full-length movies out today. (DeAngelo NP) In 1955 Disneyland opened when Walt was 55 years old. He would not stop there. Before his death in 1966, he purchased the land for Disney World in Florida. Even though Walt was unable to see the happy faces on the people as they walked into Walt Disney World for the first time, he knew that he made all of us very happy.

In this assessment I will be comparing and contrasting Snow White and the seven dwarfs with Frozen. This essay will focus on audiences and the films technologies. The similarities between the films include they both are princesses and are going through a hard time trying to find escape from it all, however the difference between these two films is, they may be going through a similar story line but in frozen it teaches you that you don’t always need man to call it true love, then again in snow white and the seven dwarfs her act of true loves is from a prince. 1937s, snow white and the seven dwarfs was the first fully animated film to be released. In the film snow white and the seven dwarfs, following how it was the first full length animated feature, it was the first to employ the use of Technicolor and features the first large scale use of the multiplane camera, which for years has become a signature for Disney.

Many critics still consider his work a masterpiece (12). In today’s world, one of the most important cultural aspects to most countries is the accessibility to tv and movies (6).
