Luckily, cell phones can block certain functions that distract students during class. There is a way to turn off social media and texting notifications so students are less tempted to the distractions. Another concern is that cell phones can be used to cheat on exams and quizzes. This issue can be solved easily, in order to prohibit students from cheating teachers can collect cell phones before a quiz or an exam. Students will try to cheat whether or not cell phones are allowed in schools, so there is no reason to use cheating as an excuse to not allow cell phones in schools. Also by allowing cell phones in school, students will learn how to keep cell phone use appropriate.
