The technology has change, cars are able to slow down and move by themselves. A man named Elon Musk has created an all-electric car named Tesla that is able to drive on its own on a straight road. Tesla was also one of the only electric car makers but more companies want to jump on the same train to make the cars completely electric. Gas is now harder to find and is more expensive now. Old cars from the 90s are slower and use more gas than the average car of today. The older cars also didn't last as long as the newer cars do. This was do to all the different types of oils and gases they contained, since they weren't sure which one would work best for the cars. Cars weren't very arrow dynamic so that also helped to slow them down. And most car models today realistically look better than the old
The 1980s were a different time period. People start getting better ideas and those ideas were advancing history. A major thing that was part of the 1980s were vehicles. Vehicles were people's transportation. Vehicles were advancing at that time in the 80s some of the first production car were being introduced to fuel injection. Cars were starting to evolve and high horsepower started becoming a factor as well. Movies were another big part of the 80s because graphics and actors were becoming better.
That’s a lot of fuel consumption and for some reason people wonder why there is so much air pollution. Now there are trucks getting 25 miles per gallon and cars getting 40 miles per gallon. That is a huge jump from 14 to 16 on average (UofM News Service). The automobile has had a huge impact on the everyday lives of Americans. It makes it possible to travel and get to work.
Do you think its fair that players are credited for what they do, when cheating the game? Mark McGwire excelled at the game of baseball and got credit for all of his accomplishments, yet he cheated the game and used steroids. Babe Ruth, considered one of the greatest baseball players to play the game of baseball, who never cheated and set a great example for all who play baseball. Baseball has drastically changed over the years, especially in the cheating scandals of steroids; Babe Ruth set a great example by excelling in the sport and doing it clean, contrasting with Mark McGwire. Their existence shows how society accepted honesty and doing it the clean way in Babe’s era and how society accepts the scandals and dishonesty of Mark’s era.
Nowadays, music is more accessible to people which has more effect on people nowadays than our great-grandparents. We can listen to popular music through iPod, iPhone, computer, internet and etc. However, these things would have been impossible to do back in 19th century because music can only be heard through live performance. This phenomena continue until the idea of recording music pop up back in late 1890s.

Henry Ford and Karl Benz played an enormous role into the making of the present day automobile. During the 1880s, automobiles used and engine called the internal combustion engine, and in the 1920s, automobiles used the external combustion engine. Lastly, during the 1880s to the 1920s, there were different model types of automobiles that were invented during that time. How would you feel if your devoted dog was discriminated against based only on what he looked like? Canine breed discrimination is a real problem in today’s society in the United States. There is always an enormous amount of hype when one hears about a dog attack. The first thing people want to know is what kind of dog was involved in the attack. That breed of dog then gets labeled as “dangerous”, quietly forcing people to change their opinion on a certain breed based on an action of only a couple of dogs.
The 1980’s, a remarkable decade that started from January 1, 1980 to December 31, 1989. The most significant events in the 1980’s was the Economic doings of “Reaganomics”, Social Movements of women’s rights, Foreign Affairs of the Cold War. Many other events were included like Science & Technology, Arts & Entertainment, and Politics.Admittedly, many would argue that the Economic, Social, and Foreign Affairs wouldn’t be the highlight of the 80’s but let’s take a look on why others might oppose to that thought.
Starting in the late 1700’s, European engineers began messing with motor powered vehicles. By the mid 1800’s, steam, combustion, and electrical motors had all been attempted. By the 1900’s it wasn’t very clear on which type of engine would really power the automobile. At that time, electric cars were the most popular but there were no batteries at that time that would allow a car to move very fast or a long distance. Commercial production in the United States began at the beginning of the 1900’s. In the early 1900’s, the United States had about two thousand firms producing one or more cars.
Electric cars have dated as far back as 1880, with the first model being mass produced in the later 1880’s. At early stages of automobiles, there were no clear benefits from either type of engine. In fact, a majority of cars in use at the time were electric. Steam and combustion engines were less developed and not as popular. Before the 1900’s an electric car held the land speed record for motor vehicles. (Bellis, 2014) As roads were built and the range that vehicles would need to travel increased, the need for a longer lasting vehicle rose. This is why at the turn of the century the popularity of gasoline powered engines arose. Electric vehicles were still valued for their short term transportation (within cities) and relatively easy use, but they began to lose prevalence as developments into combustion rose. Production for electric cars peaked in 1912 (Bellis, 2014) and saw a drastic decline since
People often refer to the decade of the nineties as the “decade of information” and when applied to the concept of music, I consider the nineties the most opportunistic decade which aided the success of music on the 2000’s. With the advances in technology and the popularity of the internet expanding, people were able to strategically use new forms of mass media to promote or advance not only political initiatives, but social ones as well such as new and exciting genres of music. The nineties included a major rise of grunge-rock, alternative rock, hip-hop/rap, and country. Bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam were making an impact and Rap artists like Tupac and Biggie were being commercialized mainly because of their on-going West Coast vs. East Coast conflict. In addition to these emerging genres, young children of the nineties (like me) were greatly introduced to dance-pop and boy bands. I vividly remember owning albums by the Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, and N’Sync. Like musical artists before them, all of these new artists mainly sang about real-life situations that people go through or that they went through. Either way, children of the nineties and 2000’s were able to relate to the music because it reflected the world that was revolving around them both generally and individually. Music during this time was influenced by the somewhat chaotic political climate and the progressing social climate but it was a combination of both that affected what I listened to and what I listen to today.
Buying a car is usually going to be the first big purchase a person will make in their life. It is actually considered the second biggest purchase, right behind buying a house. Cars now can do things like park themselves and even drive themselves. Electric cars are also a thing that is getting a lot of attention and studies show that they will be what dominate our streets and highways in the near future. Many people turn to electric cars because they are very efficient to our pockets. Not spending money on gas for the rest of your life is a huge selling point for many people. The problem is that recharging your car takes so long that sometimes it is not even worth it. Electric cars are also very good for our environment. Electric
Music has been a part of human culture since the beginning of time, and it continues to transcend language barriers, belief systems, and remains completely open to interpretation. Music has changed drastically in the last 20 years. The main barrier breaker is credited to the Internet, which has opened an entire new world for music. Music will continue to evolve over time as the industry finds new ways to use the Internet. Major labels have found that adapting to the new ways of the industry has provided continual change for them. Musicians and labels have to continue to be open to accept the changes as time goes on to benefit the consumers as well as themselves.
Millionaires back then were like billionaires today. You were considered extremely wealthy to have hundreds of thousands of dollars. The 20’s were very well known for jazz, sex, alcohol, and money. One of the wealthiest man in the 19 20’s was rockefeller, he was the peak of wealth with 340 billion. He was one of the most wealthiest persons of all time he is ranked in the top 10 in the world. Joseph kennedy was also very wealthy with 400 million dollars. Charles ponzi was had 8.5 million dollars. The 1920s are perhaps best framed as the age of capitalism for the masses.during the Gilded Age of the late 1800s it produced some of the United States biggest industrialist names – names like Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, and Carnegie – the Jazz age
Hybrid cars and trucks are beginning to become very popular in our day of time. The inventor and the founder of the hybrid car was Robert Anderson. Anderson was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. He invented the vehicle in 1839. The hybrid vehicles get better gas mileage than most of the older cars and trucks. Most of the new vehicles that are being made today are some sort of hybrid or ecoboost vehicle. Almost all of your car manufacturers today are trying to create new vehicles that conserve gas which is green to the environment. Gas efficient cars are now taking over diesel car and trucks. Diesel cars and trucks usually get pretty bad gas mileage. Most of the big older trucks have a diesel engine in them. Most of the owners of a diesel vehicle usually don’t drive the vehicle much anymore because of horrible gas and diesel prices this day in time.
Electric cars were recently introduced to the auto world. They are very fuel efficient while still having all the practicalities of a regular car. They are quiet and have zero emissions. They also are cheaper to maintain and cheaper to own then a gas powered car. Even though car enthusiasts dislike the idea of going fully electric, it is a very conscientious choice. Electric cars might seem like a useless form of transportation, but they offer features that help keep the Earth clean.
