Have you ever wondered who is the best team to ever play basketball? They probably have a good regular season record, they won the finals, and they probably have some star caliber players. The 1995 Chicago Bulls fit that description. They had a great regular season winning seventy-two games.
They dominated the league winning the division, the league, and the finals. None of this would be possible without their star players. They consisted of many star player including Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman. Michael Jordan returning from his first retirement, none of this would be possible without him. He retired to try out baseball because that is what he always wanted to do, but when he realized he was not as good at baseball as basketball he returned in nineteen ninety five to the Chicago Bulls. This team is considered the best team to ever play the game of basketball because of their dominant performance on the court all through the regular and postseason. They played at the united center in downtown Chicago where they are still located today.1 They had a great team this year with multiple star athletes and other solid players. They were coached by a great coach who led them all through the Jordan era. They made some key trades and picked up some good rookies who would be key in helping them have such a great season. They had a dominant regular season and destroyed the competition from beginning to end winning almost every game. They made a huge run in the postseason taking it all the way and sealing the deal of the best team ever. Many of the players were given awards for their great play on the court. ...rgin. They averaged one hundred and five points per game and won by an average of twelve points.4 They were definitely a force to be reckoned with and scared teams every time they stepped on the court. The post season showed us more of the same, the Bulls pushed through the magic, opponents and won all their home games and only losing three away games going fifteen and three. This amazing play did not go unrecognised players got awards. Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman all made the NBA All Defensive team. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen both made the All Star team. And Michael Jordan won the triple crown, MVP, all star MVP, and finals MVP. He also won the scoring title this year. They were the most dominating force to ever play the game of basketball. They will go down in history as the best team ever. And I don't think anyone will ever be better.
Prior to 1966 African Americans were not allowed to play basketball with Caucasians. That all changed when six African American men, led by coach Don Haskins of Texas Western College, played in the March, 1966 NCAA championship and won. I believe that Don Haskins created significant change for African Americans and college basketball.
Michael Jordan, in his prime, was thought of as one of the greatest basketball champions of all time. A shooting guard, standing at six-six, Jordan was able to out play anyone in his position. He started his career at the University of North Carolina, where he helped his team win a national championship. He then was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 1984-85 season. While playing for the Bulls, Jordan received many awards such as, MVP, five championships, Olympic gold medals, slam dunk contests, and many more defensive and offensive awards. Jordan simply dominated the nineties and left the game as a NBA Finals winner in 1998.
Minneopolis Lakers of the early 1950’s were a dominant team of that era. The team was led by
Michael Jordans talent is so amazing. “Maybe this guy is God disguised”, former Boston Celtic Larry Bird said about Jordans talent. This really shows how people viewed his talent and liked the way he played the game of basketball. Michael Jordans talent is so amazing , he’s so incredible and beyond unreal. The things he did and accomplished in the basketball league shows his true talent. In 1984, at 21 years of age, Jordan made the United States Olympic Games basketball team under coach Bobby Knight. Averaging a remarkable seventeen points a game, Jordan led the team to a gold medal in eight straight wins! The Olympic win brought Jordan to high visibility in basketball circles and made him a household name in America. He was also selected to be an NBA all-star as he averaged 30 to 40 points per game. While when it came to Michael’s second year in the NBA he broke his foot early in the season and was forced to sit out. While having his year off from the game, he decided to go back to school to finish his final year of college. His 3rd year wasn’t all so great either as the Bulls had another losing season, but they still made it to the playoffs. Michael would also score 63 points to set an NBA playoffs record. As the 1989 season approached the Bulls had plenty of players to help Michael on the court. The Bulls would lose in the second round of the playoffs, though to an eastern powerhouse in the Detroit Pistons. As for the next three seasons, the Bulls would lose to the Pistons in the playoffs. The pistons had a great plan to keep Michael from being a terror on the court by something called the “Jordan Rules.” The Jordan Rules invented by the Pistons meant to rough him up or play him tough. Michael was pushed around by the Pistons because he wasn’t very hefty. While in the 1991 and 92 season the Bulls blew by the league not even the Pistons could stop them as the Bulls would go back to back beating the Suns and the Trail Blazers. While in between the two seasons Michael and many other star NBA players took place in the 1992 Olympics the team later became known as the NBA Dream Team. There was no chance of anyone

Michael Jordan, what comes to your mind when you hear that name? Michael had played for the bulls and had gotten 6 championship rings with the team. He went to college at North Carolina where he played NCAA basketball for just one year before he was drafted in 1984. All eyes were on him when he went on the court, because that just how good he was at the game of basketball. Michael Jordan is one of the greatest players in NBA history, maybe even the greatest of all time.

In conclusion, I don’t think it’s fair to say basketball was superior before now, nor vice versa. I think that for those who love the game, you can appreciate what both eras bring to the table. While it may have been entertaining to see Dr Jay and Michael Jordan in action, it’s also important to realize the potential in today’s rising stars such as LeBron James, and KD. One thing that remains unchanged is that basketball has, and will always be an outstanding and fun sport to watch.
No matter what sport you may find interesting, basketball will always be one of the greatest. From China to France, England to Australia basketball is not just a game but a part of life. It doesn’t matter if you’re better than LeBron or worse than Austin, the real winning in basketball is the smile on your face when you hit that jumper, or assist that alley-oop, or even dribble the ball down the court. Basketball isn’t just found in the dreams of small children, but is also found in the hearts of many.
Basketball has been around for 118 years. It has evolved so much. I bet Naismith never thought that something so simple would change the world. Basketball has even changed lives, by reaching out to other countries, and all kinds of charities. For some people basketball is life, and it has even saved lives. A lot of players in the NBA have come from nothing, but since they excelled in basketball all their biggest dreams have come true. Basketball can even help you escape from all your troubles and worries. You can ask any player what it is like to step on a basketball court and I bet they will tell you it’s the best feeling in the world. Basketball really is more than a game, it’s a way of life.
The National Basketball Associations, Golden State Warriors are approaching history. They are the number 1 ranked team in the league and the quest for winning a record 73 games is well within reach. The keys they play by have helped them be the success they are. The consistent 3 point shooting threat has left many shaking their heads in disbelief. Always making the extra pass has allowed them to strive on and off the ball. Most importantly teamwork both on offense and defense has led them to be ranked among the league’s best in both. As long as the Golden State Warriors keep shooting the three point shot the way they have been, along with great passing and teamwork they will pass the record held by the 1995-1996 Michael Jordan led Chicago bulls team.
