I am thankful for many things in my life without them I would not be able to live the way I like to live. I am thankful for the fresh water we have and the food on my plate every night. I am also thankful for my parents and new technology. Without all of theses things I would not be able to live this very day. On thanksgiving it reminds me to be thankful for these things. Without the following things I would not be able to live the style that I live in today. I am thankful for my parents. Some reasons that I am thankful for my parents is that without them I would not be here this day. They also, supplied me with the items and traits that I need to live. For example they would tell me to chose the right or left path. They even bring me to fancy
The first Thanksgiving was a very memorable time in U.S. history. The real meaning of Thanksgiving is to spend time with your family and be thankful for what you have been blessed with.
There is a strong aroma of turkey cooking slowly, brownish gravy bubbling in the pot, and just a hint of sweet, savory cranberry sauce filling the air. All these smells gathering together is causing an overpowering feeling of hunger. The kitchen is filled with activity as my mother and father move throughout the kitchen as if they were racing against the clock. I, along with my two sisters are found in the dining room setting up the big, darkly stained dining room table with the fine china plates that we only use once a year. You know, the ones with the intricate designs of flowers wrapping around each other, etched around the entirety of each individual glass, plate, and dish. It is Thanksgiving morning in my house and every year it starts
A big part of Thanksgiving is a Thanksgiving feast. The feast usually consists of potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, peas, gravy, stuffing, salads, buns and lots of other great food. The main part of the feast is usually the turkey. Other families might have ham, roast beef, duck or chicken. The dessert that is most likely to follow the feast is pumpkin pie. Other people may choose different desserts and food depending on their customs and beliefs for which they choose to give thanks. Let’s not forget the biggest and most important reason for this holiday – giving THANKS! People usually give thanks for everything they have. Their jobs, health, families or just being alive are just a few of the things that people give thanks for.
Some people are not thankful for what they have, but I am because I realize how blessed and lucky I am because some kids don't have as many things to be thankful about. One thing I am thankful for is my family, my family is the most supportive and loving family ever. Another thing I am thankful for is technology, technology can be the most entertaining thing and sometimes it takes your emotions and pains away. Finally I am thankful for is sports because most of the time I go outside after school and play basketball with my friends or sometimes by myself, but sometimes it helps me get my mind off of things.
One person that I am truly thankful for is Thomas, my eldest brother. Although we don’t get along every day of the week, I wouldn’t know what to do without him. He set the bar for many things in my life, such as my academics, my sports, and my overall successfulness. One day, I was in the third grade, I came home crying- sobbing- an overall mess because I convinced myself I was failing to meet Thomas work ethic. My parents assured me I was fine and that I was just as smart, but ever since I always strived to be equal if not greater. He may not realize he does this, but he is the reason I am who I am. Even when I was having trouble with old friends he stood up for me and made it clear I was his kid sister and was not a force to be reckoned with. Thomas has made me strive to be great and has given me a sense of integrity. I have a feeling I’ll do great things, and I owe that all to
To be thankful means to express gratitude. We all have a reason to be thankful for everything we have. Our family, friends, and country are all so important to us, but to be living in a good country and around the people we love is priceless. The three things I am thankful for is my safety, the music I listen to, and the love I receive everyday.
Everyone has objects or people they are grateful for, I am thankful for my cell phone, boyfriend, and family. I am grateful for my phone because when I am bored it gives me something to do and it also helps me look up information when I do not have a computer handy. I am grateful for my boyfriend because he always finds a way to calm my worries and takes me on trips. I am forever grateful for my family because without them I would not be who I am today and I would not have the things I do.
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a gift and not giving it.” This quote by William Arthur Ward, one of America’s most quoted writers, shows just how important it is to be thankful for everything you have, no matter how small it may seem. There are many things in life to be thankful for, but I feel that three of these things, which are grandparents, food, and the country America (if you reside in it), are some of the most important to give thanks to.
This is what I am thankful for. There are many things that I am thankful for, but I chose the Three that I am most thankful for. The things that I am thankful for are My Parents, My House, and My Food. These are the reasons that I am thankful for these things because…
I am thankful for my adolescent years and for my experience as a Soldier. My thankfulness comes from knowing that without those experiences, I would not be who I am today - a woman who chooses to go the extra mile, appreciates what typically goes unnoticed by others, and strives to make a difference in the lives of those around her. What I have experienced has given me a desire to never stop trying to become better, an eagerness to learn, a heart that listens and acknowledges, and the ability to pay more
I first with to thank the people who are in my family. After all, one must always begin with those who has been living with him/her for at least their whole life till senior year. I wish to thank my own dear mother and father for bringing me into this world and teaching me right from wrong. I pretty much owe my parents more than anyone
Mouthwatering , cold, dripping ice cream is the perfect thing to be thankful and that is why I’m thankful for it. On a really hot day just eat ice cream to cool you down. When I taste the delicious creamy vanilla ice cream I feel like I’m in Heaven. There are tons of things to be thankful for. I’m really thankful for the briny, sandy, warm, superb beach I wish I could inhabit there. My Grandma and Grandpa lives in Florida and I get to go visit them and when we’re at the beach and when I see the seagulls they look very happy they even sound happy. There are tons of things to be thankful for. Let me notify you some of those things I’m thankful for.
My mom was a super-mom. She drove carpool, was always apart of every booster club and was the leader of every classroom party that I can remember. She encouraged me to do everything that I wanted to do. She made sure that I got everything I wanted. None of that would have been possible if my dad didnt work. While it felt like he was always gone, he was just doing what he had to do to make sure that my mom and I could live a comfortable life. Of course he took off every chance he could so come watch me at one of my games or help me practice in the back yard. If I didn 't have them I would have nothing. They are the ones who supported all of my decisions and made me feel better about trying new things. Without them I would not be the person I am. Not only would life without my parents would be drastically different but also without my siblings. Like I said before, they were my best friends growing up. I could always count on the being there for me when I was down. Not only did they bring me up when I was down, but they also praised me when I was up. They treated me like I was the greatest thing that has ever walked on God 's green earth. While they would sometimes annoy me with the constant need of attention and feeling like they needed to be involved in every detail of my personal life, I love them more than words will ever
I think being thankful is very important. Gratitude turns what we have into enough. If you are thankful for things it makes you appreciate them more that way. For example, if I wasn’t thankful for my house than I would seem very greedy because not everyone has a nice house to live in. It's good to be thankful so that you know how lucky you are. There is always something to be thankful for. Im thankful for my grandparents, my family and my dog.
I am grateful for my life in many ways and for many reason, I was born 5 weeks premature and one of twins. Though my twin did not survive long enough for me to know him it gave me a purpose to try new things. Whenever I am scared of a new experience such as snow-boarding I think about how lucky I am to be alive and well. This thought helps me to spread my wings and embrace the unknown. Even simple things make me feel thankful, such as running in the rain or taking a walk with my dog or just a lazy Sunday afternoon with myself makes me think how great it is to be alive and here. I have always delight in the small moments in life and to think that they could never exist for me is depressing. Furthermore, being able to share my thoughts and feeling with people I love is something that brings me great joy.
