INTRODUCTION: This case involved Teyonye Dominique Tyson being a danger to herself. Tyson was transported to the Huntington Memorial Hospital Emergency Room (HMH), where she was placed on a WIC 5150 hold. INVESTIGATION: On 11-17-17 at approximately1010 hours, LA County Clinician Vasquez #433353 and I responded to the Colorado Boulevard Bridge regarding a mental health evaluation. An anonymous reporting party, telephoned PPD Dispatch and advised that a person with long hair was seen on the Colorado Bridge sidewalk railing and looking over the bridge’s railing. The reporting party was unable to determine whether the person was male or female. Officer Park #6800 and Officer Armendariz #0211 were also dispatched to the above location. Officer Park contacted a female Black, later identified Teyonye Dominique Tyson on the north side of the bridge. Tyson was reportedly standing on the inner portion of the bridge’s railing. Officer Park convinced and assisted Tyson off of the railing and onto the sidewalk. Officer Park advised Officer Armendariz of …show more content…
the circumstances. Officer Park transported Tyson to the Huntington Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for the evaluation.
Officer Armendariz and I also responded to HMH for the mental health evaluation. Upon our arrival, we contacted Tyson who stated she was not suicidal and was meeting her boyfriend, Daius Page at the Colorado Boulevard Bridge. Officer Armendariz asked Tyson for Page’s telephone number. Tyson advised Officer Armendariz that she did not know the telephone number by memory. Tyson stated that Daius’ telephone number is stored in her cellular telephone. Tyson gave Officer Armendariz her cellular telephone password and gave him permission to access her cellular telephone. Officer Armendariz accessed Tyson’s cellular telephone and discovered a text message that was sent today to Daius. The text message read that Tyson wanted Xanax or she was going to kill herself. Tyson did not specify how she was going to kill
herself. Officer Armendariz telephoned Daius who stated the following information: Tyson reportedly told Daius that she was feeling depressed and wanted to kill herself. Daius then received a photo from Tyson while she was standing on the Colorado Boulevard Bridge. A records check also revealed that Tyson has been placed on several psychological holds for suicidal thoughts. Based on the above information, I formed the opinion that Tyson was a danger to herself. I placed Tyson on a WIC 5150-Mental Health Hold. HMH Social Worker Lisa was advised of the above circumstances. DISPOSITION: Case Closed.

Michael “Meeko” Thompson has spent more than two decades locked away in the Chippewa Correctional Facility. Michael was arrested for selling three pounds of cannabis to an undercover officer. He had prior drug offenses, but no history of violence. When his house was raided after his arrest, a few antique firearms and one usable firearm were recovered. Despite the fact that the antiques did not fire and the one that did was owned by Michael’s wife, he was convicted of felony possession of a firearm along with his cannabis charges. This was his fourth offense which labeled him a habitual offender, and he was sentenced to 40-60 years in prison. He could have been sentenced to as little as five years. Notably, even the Michigan Supreme Court

Another case is that of 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson whose death was initially ruled the result of accidental suffocation. A second autopsy produced a different conclusion, but when the second autopsy was performed, his body had been stuffed with newspaper, and his organs were missing ("Organ Trafficking, Melanin Theory & the Fountain of Youth -," n.d.). The brain, heart, lungs and liver were missing. He also discovered Johnson's death was due to blunt force trauma to the right side of his neck (Archer,

During March 2001, the American heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson and his management expressed a keen interest in visiting Australia to host a boxing bout. The decision about whether or not to welcome Tyson will fall upon the Immigration Minister, Mr. Phillip Ruddock. If Tyson applies for an official visa to enter Australia it should be granted. Australia should seize this great opportunity and ignore the unjustified outrage expressed by some interest groups.
Minority entrepreneurs have many barriers they have to overcome in order to be successful. Some typical problems they face are limited access to capital, lower equity investments, and less exposure to entrepreneurship. Minority entrepreneurs are twice as likely to be turned down for traditional lending, which can discourage them from even applying for a loan. Not only that but they are less likely to be considered by traditional or angel investors. They also generally live in run down areas, with poor schooling and less access to successful people. One entrepreneur who has hurdled over all the barriers and became extremely successful is Russell Simmons, the co-founder of Def Jam Records.

The study of Juvenile delinquency and the theories pertaining to it are vital for several reasons. In order to more effectively engage with youths and foster positive behavior and schemas, the individuals must first be understood. The study of theory provides a means of understanding adolescents and the factors that lead to or detract from delinquent behavior. In the case of juvenile delinquent, Jordan Brown, theory helps to provide insight into why an eleven-year-old boy murdered his stepmother.

I very much appreciated your discussion board post of the assessment of Dennis Hightower. You raised many good points that were specific to Mr. Hightower’s ability to lead and get results. Specifically, his ability to build a team mentality while empowering them to “make decisions in their individual markets.” Your assessments complemented Dr. Rol’s of a situational leader that relied on strategic planning and persuasive arguments to convince others to follow his lead because they saw the logic in his decisions and “how they fit into that” (Jick and Peiperl, 2011, p. 418). Having the ability to adjust leadership style based on the behavior and skill level of employees to drive results is a great skill when managing such a diverse
