There are a few very large problems I see in our world that I would like to help solve. I believe most of these issues are too much for one person alone to solve alone but can be collectively solved with others. I see industries in our country that are becoming monopolies and are taking advantage of customers and consumers because the choices in these industries are limited and new choices are being stifled. The telecommunications and automotive industries are just two out of many industries I believe to be corrupt. They act deceptively to gain unfair gains against their competition. In the telecommunications sector you basically have 4 main choices for cell phone service. There’s Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. You can argue that there are many more carriers, however mostly all of them run …show more content…
The existing companies will do everything they can to prevent you from getting started. The Tesla automobile brand is perhaps the most well known company to have suffered from corruption and unfairness in the automotive industry. Back in 2014, Tesla was restricted in several states from selling their cars directly to customers. The only thing holding them back was an automotive conglomerate made up of GM, Ford, Chrysler, and others. This conglomerate is called the National Automobile Dealers Association(NADA). NADA paid off politicians and lawmakers to prevent the sale of Tesla cars due to fear of competition. These companies were afraid they would need to put in effort to make their cars better rather than changing a few minor details about their yearly models. After pressure from their citizens, states had started letting Tesla sell their cars directly to consumers in 2014. The number of states has been steadily rising ever
Nikola Tesla was a Serbian American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer and physicist. He was also considered an eccentric genius and recluse. Tesla is best known for his feud with Thomas Edison over AC power Versus DC Power. He was also well known for inventing the Tesla Coil which is still used in radio technology today. Nikola Tesla was mostly forgotten until the 1990’s when there was a resurgence of interest in popular culture.
Imagine if nobody had a cellphone in today’s world. That’s why today everybody has some form of a cellphone contract with the four major companies (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon or T-Mobile) or a less know cellphone provider. AT&T and Verizon Wireless provide more than the other two major companies.
When faced with answering such a question, I had to really think about what I wanted to accomplish. There are so many things one can do with unlimited power and resources, but to be efficient and effective I decided to focus on just a couple main areas and not in trying to solve all the problems of the world. The ideas were many but the hardest part of the process was not discounting any of the ideas early on. I also adhered to the creative thinking process laid out in Gary Davis's Creativity is Forever.
Corporation like Sprint Wireless provider industry which provides cell phone coverage and data. Sprint is one of the largest corporations in the U.S with competitors such as Verizon and AT&T. Sprint has a lot of control in the wireless provider market. Being Independent Corporation, still has to considerate the reactions of their competitors before making business decisions such as chan...

Many people say they want to change the world but never take any real action to make it happen. I however try to make it happen every day whether it be through my volunteer work, tutoring or simply helping anyone in need. This world needs a change for the better and I hope to be the person to convey
