Even though responsible teenagers are lacking freedom that they deserve with a curfew in effect it does ensure the safety of most other teens who are intolerant to discipline and rules. Next the activities that teenagers tend to participate in as a pastime during night hours are often dangerous in respect to there being no supervision by adults. These activities that are dangerous could lead to someone getting badly hurt. People would say that teenagers know what to do if a situation where someone gets hurt happens to present itself. In the end they are wrong because it would be all the better if someone was at hand with actual experience to help, and also teenagers tend to overreact when caught in a fetter of a situation.
