Depending on the setting of the party, there could be a possible chance of violence happening. In this case, the violent actions can result to homicides, shootings, and suicides. Homicides can vary based on age, gender, race, and methods of killing the victim. Shootings are quick reactions to dealing with victim. Suicides result to choosing to kill one’s life. Gun violence in youth has become much more prevalent. Today’s youth are more likely to turn to guns to solve their problems with bullies or to help them to fight a mental illness. Kids are taking guns from their parents or are just going to the streets and buying the guns from random people. Although there are jurisdictions that have started to use gun violence programs to help combat these issues the programs are not found everywhere and are not going to work forever. One such program that we will learn about later on is Operation Ceasefire.
There has always been an issue with Juveniles being treated as if they were adults. Many believe that Juveniles that commit crimes such as rape, murder, or extreme violence, should be given a sentence of life in prison. It's been an issue since the start of when Juveniles have been given life without parole and has continued until this day. These kids have to suffer their first years in prison living without parole. I believe that some teens do deserve life without parole due their certain age point, childhood issues, and serious crime they have committed.

More than 31,000 people a year in the United States die from gunshot. Gun violence is one of the leading causes in the United States. In 2010, there were an estimated 337,960 violent crimes started with guns, and 73, 505 people were treated in the hospital. Gun violence in the United States is usually high for a nation of such wealth. Although there is a difference in the overall crime rates between the United States and other high-income countries, the
Not all murders involve guns. According to data from the United States Department of Justice, in the year 2008, 5,340,000 violent crimes were committed in the United States. However, only eight percent, or 436,000 of these crimes were committed by criminals that were armed with any kind of firearm (Agresti). Even with laws that ban guns from being purchased, a killer could easily obtain a gun by stealing it. In 2010, there were approximately 300 million guns known to be owned by American citizens (Agresti). On the topic of suicide, if somebody has a strong intent on ending their life, and they cannot access a gun, they will find another way to accomplish the task, without using a gun (Lunger, 77). The presence of guns in the hands of the general public is a key element to prevent crime. Steve Agresti has ...
...neglected teens usually seek refuge in the structure of gangs; many gangs build up hatred for one another. Many people have guns in their homes and they all say it is for “protection”, but no one can honestly say that the weapon killing young people is a good means of protection. As a nation and a society, all of us today should stand up for what is right. Do not give teens the opportunity to handle a gun. Handguns should be illegal under any circumstances.
Violence is defined as the intentional use of force to harm a human being. Its outcome is injury (whether physical or psychological, fatal or nonfatal). Violence among teenagers is on the rise, and has been since the early 1980's. In my opinion this is due to the increase of violence in the media, the astounding availability of firearms and the lack of proper guidance in the home. Northeastern University's College of Criminal Justice reports that from 1985 to 1993 murders committed by people over the age of 25 dropped an impressive 20%; meanwhile they increased 65% for people between the ages of 18-24 and an astounding 165% growth for teenagers 14 to 17. According to the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, in 1996, 6548 young people 15-24 years old were victims of homicides. This amounts to an average of 18 youth homicides per day in the US. It also states that homicide is the second leading cause of death for persons 15-24 and is the leading cause of death for African-American and Hispanic youths in this age group. There are a few things that we as Americans can do to stunt this problem, and it starts with the home. By focusing on the home first, we as Americans can drastically reduce the amount of violent crime committed in the US.

A gang is a group of people who interact among themselves. Teen violence is contributed to these gangs. Most gangs claim neighborhoods as their territory and try to control everything inside that territory. This kind of antisocial behavior is a major problem in American Society.
You should not choose violence as a way of solving a problem. Many teenagers today turn to fighting, drugs and alcohol as a way of getting rid of their problems. If they would step back and get help and let God into their hearts and life they would realize that violence dose not solve everything. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
