Teens want to have babies because they are in a stable relationship and want to start a family, but most teens have a decision to make. Some people that decide to continue their pregnancy often due to a feeling that they should take responsibility and also are a good mother. Some teens want to have a baby to keep their relationship going, but to me having a child at any age can be a big decision and will be dramatically changed your life. Then, it’s not about you anymore it’s about you and your baby he/she is going to be your main priority. Sometimes I think because they don 't feel loved and want somebody to love them. “They want to be cared about or maybe it was mistaken”.("Teen Pregnancy")
The effect welfare reforms have on teens mothers is that programs have to develop in teenage parents the motivation and skills to provide financially for themselves and their children. Welfare reforms have increased the risk of teenage births for girls in welfare families and the risk of school dropouts for girls in poor families. Some programs suggest that welfare reform has not reduced teenage fertility and school dropout. The effect it has on them its corollary. Educating teens about the consequences of early sex while continuing to make contraceptives available can go some way towards solving the problem teen pregnancy rates have also declined somewhat.

Most teen mothers stress a lot threw their pregnancy and it can cause their baby to die. Some teens are more likely to drink, smoke and also does drugs while they are pregnant and it can damage their baby. The health risk on babies today is most teenage mothers have a higher rate of poor eating habits than older women and are less likely to take recommended daily prenatal vitamins to maintain health.Maybe some people just wanted to experience having a baby and see what it feels like. “As of today people still gets pregnancy some people to me its not hard but late night and all the crying is what gets me”.
