Qualities of a good leader Everyone looks up to a leader, especially a good one. The qualities of a leader need to show what the leader can do to help out the community. The best three qualities that a leader should have is determination, organization, and problem solving/decision making. Some good examples of people who portray these qualities are, the 26th president Teddy Roosevelt , the owner and creator of Google, Larry Page, and the scientist that invented pasteurization Louie Pasteur. To be determined is opening up to the skill of learning. It requires setting goals and being willing to work hard, but it can definitely be done. A determined person should always be confident, because if someone doesn’t believe in themselves or their work, how are those people going to get anywhere in the world. Another huge quality of being determined is always thinking win-win, because if winning isn't in your mind than success isn't in your mind, and those people won't be able to lead anyone. One quality to never forget is to never give up or quit, because people won't accomplish deeds or be successful if they keep giving up. A good quality all people should know is doing let obstacles stand in your way, because if people let obstacles stand in their way they won’t accomplish any of their goals. Two more qualities people should remember is don’t hesitate and always trust your gut feeling. Always trust your gut feeling is important because if you don't trust yourself how will you trust your work or others. Don’t hesitate is important because in a bad situation you have to be quick and you can't wait for someone else to do it because that doesn't make that person a leader. A good role model that showed determination was Teddy Roosevelt. He gave a four hour speech with an arrow in his chest, just so the people would get a message. What made Theodore Roosevelt such a great president and person? Many people aspire to be like him, but he sets a high bar for humanity. He is in many people's opinions one of the greatest presidents of the United States, so incredible that his face is set in stone and will be for hundreds of years in the future.
Theodore Roosevelt was one of our greatest presidents. He created the FDA and improved the position of the presidency greatly. Before Theodore came to be president, the position of presidency was slow and wasn’t very interesting so he made the executive branch more powerful by starting new reforms and a strong foreign policy. The life of a president is hard. It is full of stress, responsibilities, and a strong dedication the welfare of your country. Theodore had to deal with all of these presidential stresses, taking up much of his time. Do you know, though, that despite being a president, he led a life of excitement and freedom that many other presidents had never before experienced? Theodore, “Teddy” as his first wife Alice called him, Roosevelt was more than just our president, he was a dedicated author who wrote many books; he was also a rancher, and, surprisingly, he was a big time hunter. Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) was the 32nd president of the United States of America and saw the nation change ten-fold during his time as president. At his election FDR was facing an up hill battle with America, which was suffering a major depression and economic turmoil. His leadership style, the way he portrayed that style, the technology he used for leadership, and the daunting tasks he overcame proves how great of a leader FDR was, even if at times it didn 't seem that way to the American people. To know how exactly FDR gained his credibility and title as leader one must first learn what exactly he experienced and what he had to deal with going into his time as president.
A leader needs to “believe” in oneself and have the confidence that whatever you say will excite and what you do can motivate others. You must be optimistic about what you do, do have some relevance for being in existence. Believe it or not, “leadership begins with you”.
