Throughout my life, I have endeavored to seek answers beyond my own experiences and have tried to assist others as they venture into their own strange territories of learning. Inquisitive and curious, my four year old bespectacled face was always pressed into a book, intently reading and learning more about the world. I amassed hundreds of books of which I read repeatedly, giving me a jump start on my learning process, one that few others had. Whenever I discovered something new, I would continuously strive to untangle every web it contained until I understood it forwards and back. This great affinity for reading was only trumped by my ever growing passion for computers. A subtle introduction to the computing world via educational games uncovered a world of vast proportions, one which to this day I am still exploring.
My child-like interest was initially intrigued by the bright flashy colors and the interaction I had with the game, but once I discovered the world outside the game, the world with which the game was built upon, my viewpoint on technology changed. From that point on, whenever I obtained some new electronic gadget, my first instinct was to peruse every last menu and option forward and backward until I could essentially remake it. At that point however, the extent of my exploring was limited to a right and left click, my computer skills at the most beginning of levels.
I was able to quickly comprehend complex concepts from the computer and literary world which one would not expect from a child my age, and once learned, I made sure to share it with others. While children were struggling to read while a teacher feigned support, I made sure to help out my friends and push them along the path. Many friends at school t...

...ay. After thinking about what skills I had to contribute to the community that not everyone had access to, I realized I should put my computer skills up for auction. The older members of the community rushed to sign up for a lesson, or a consult for their specific technological needs, and I gave them. There were so many people bidding, I had to make a couple more stops than I had originally planned. I not only felt a sense of accomplishment, but I felt happiness knowing that I was able to give back to the community however I could.
As I’ve grown up and matured, I’ve seen that technology, computers, and the mindset one attains when they become familiar with technology has shaped much of my life. Be it a higher understanding of logic and math, or obtaining the necessary skills to tutor and consult others, technology has influenced quite a few of my life’s decisions.
Science and technology go hand in hand. Scientific discoveries result in technology advancements for the people. In today’s technological world, it has progressed to a whole new level. This type of modernization opened doors for new and improved computers, cell phones, medical treatment, and machinery. In a reference article, “Computers and the Internet in America: Modern World” by Christopher Cumo, he discusses how computers and the internet have impacted human life since the 20th century. Technology has always been a part of society and as
Throughout our everyday lives whether we think about it or not. Computers and technology are and have been an integral part of our lives. Computers and technology assist us with so much, such as the way we drive and the way we learn. We no longer have to deal with the hassle of driving stick and we no longer have to be in a physical classroom with the advent of online education. In Clive Thompsons’ essay “Smarter than you think how technology is changing our minds for the better,” he discusses how the ever changing capacity of technology improves the mental cognition of human beings.
We live in a time where technology is at the center of our society. We use technology on a daily basis, for the simplest tasks, or to aid us in our jobs, and don’t give a second thought to whether these tools are actually helping us. Writers such as Kevin Kelly and Clive Thompson argue that the use of technology actually helps us humans; whiles writers such as Nicholas Carr argue that technology affects people’s abilities to learn information negatively.
During adolescence, I began reading and writing through a fundamental learning program called, "Hooked on Phonics." This program consisted of long hours spent reading short novels and writing elementary phrases which were commonly taught in the second and third grade. With the motto, "Improve your child's reading and writing skills in just four weeks!" I was bound to become the next Mark Twain. The method of this course specialized in the improvements of word acquisition rates as well as reading speed; however, it lacked in the area of teaching comprehension. At a young age, I was instilled with the dire need to be highly educated and although I was unable to experience a fun and adventurous childhood like many other children, I am grateful for being raised with a greater knowledge and wisdom than that ingrained in many.
Technology is one of the most important things in everyone’s life. Technology improves every day. in regards to today’s youth, they were born with all the new technological inventions as opposed to our parents. In “Quality Time, Redefined” by Alex Williams, published in the New York Times, the author talks about the positive and negative effects on technology. I enjoyed this reading because it related my personal day to day life. Even though some Americans acknowledge that technology is a part of their everyday life, they do not see the negative outcome of technology, they are blinded only by the positive aspects.
Technology is a controversial issue in today’s world and especially in my world; it is important to understand that my father owns and operates a successful computer sales and repair business and so my knowledge of computer usage is quite extensive having not only listened to my father, but also having completed a high school computer internship. I am also currently working in a Technology Fellowship program. When it comes to the topic of technology, most of us will agree that technology surrounds us in today’s world—from television, smart phones, video games, tablets, to computers—we can readily access multitudes of information by simply accessing a computer internet search or turning on the television news. Technology has been a part of our
When I started first grade, I finally started to appreciate some of my mother’s work. At the beginning of the year, everyone had to take a reading level test, and I ranked the highest among my classmates. I flexed my reading skills before everyone. I volunteered to read during class. I read to my parents, to my grandparents, to my dog.
Computers have been instrumental in improving the quality of life for many people all over the world. Computers have enhanced education to make teaching and learning more productive. Such a technology has given people more opportunities for gathering information and developing education in all subjects like English, science, math, history, and the arts. People like myself have benefited from the variety of programs that the computer has brought in this century such as writing and office programs, encyclopedias, the Internet, email, and online communities. In the century we live in today, the computer is not only considered to be an important tool, but a necessity in a business oriented society. Computers have also been and continue to be a productive tool, especially in the world of education.
Technology is changing how we think and act at younger ages. The term “technology” doesn’t only mean manufacturing processes and equipment necessary for production, it also defines a social space and could be a social problem which makes a real impact on social reality. Different types of social software affect a variety of aspects and have both positive and negative impacts. It's important to be aware of how a digitally-driven life is changing our education, sense of self, relationships, social interaction, consumerism, and ways of doing business around the world.
21st century, we live in the era of technology-driven world. Human never stopped the development of technology, because we always have a natural tendency to pursue a higher level of human being. Technology is the best evidence of human intelligence, has shown that we are different from other animals. We live with technology since we born. Although it has intervene our daily life heavily that we can’t no longer live without, nobody can deny the achievements it has brought to us.
Society in the world changes everyday; one example is when the Supreme Court’s ruling for same-sex marriage caused uproar against the principles and practices of the churches. Another example is how terrorist groups overseas persecuted millions of Middle Eastern Christians. The critical change of society is how technology advanced the daily lives of human life and how technology replaced God. In Chicago, today’s generation has lost the war on violence in the streets, as the youth are killed day-by-day; many other cities developed mass terror shootings each year. Despite the efforts of the churches to stick close to their faith, it seems impossible to return to the Early Church God had ordained for the Israelites. However, the theme “Moving Forward” gives hope for many churches and communities to collaborate in order to fix a corrupted and blinded secular society.
I roll around on my bed, tossing and turning. The blare from my alarm clock deafens my right ear, and I quickly throw an arm over to it and slam on the snooze button. It is 6 o'clock in the morning, and already technology has affected my life. I fall to my feet and walk towards the showers. Another form of technology is about to take over my life. Well, at least for the next ten to 20 minutes.
Technology affects every aspect of our lives. From romance to business, it has shown its presence everywhere. But technology has had a huge impact on education that cannot be denied, and has done nothing but improve the quality and quantity of education.
Technology has changed modern society drastically, both positively and negatively. Technology has influenced every aspect of our life, making it simpler but not necessarily better. Albert Einstein was concerned about the advancement of technology. "I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction."1 Undoubtedly, what has changed the most are communication, the spread of information, and how business is practiced. Consequently, practically everyone knows how to use a computer, connect to the Internet, or use a smartphone. This is demonstrated by the way the Internet is used daily by millions of people to communicate, to sell, advertise, retrieve, and share information. Thanks to the Internet, information from anywhere in the world is at our fingertips. As a result, the advancement of technology has changed our life in many ways including; sharing of information, communication, business, education, social interaction, simplifying everyday tasks, replacing basic skills and jobs.

Everything we do and every aspect of our life is affected by modern technology, like the computers. Computers let us dissect any sort of data. Computers make us reflect, hence we develop.
