Is technology making communication better, or is it just destroying real communication? The advancement in technology has transformed the society of today. This is because people are able to meet, communicate and work online without necessarily having to meet face to face or go to work. Technology has also improved the social life of people .It has enabled people to be able to meet new friends and form relationships online without meeting the people face to face. As much technology, making life interesting and easier for people, it has disadvantages which lead to health risks. This paper will focus on how communication is made easier by technology in the world of today, but at the expense of personal contact, and this is because many people choose to interact from home in front of a computer screens instead of meeting, face to face. …show more content…

This has led to many people preferring to spend the whole day on their computer screens and smart phones making new exploration(Buckingham 10) .This includes doing their homework ,chatting with those they deem close to them ,listening to music, watching movies, and do a lot of activities online. When people depended too much on a screen to do everything instead of going outside and meeting people face to face, they expose their bodies especially the eyes to danger. Apart from the eyes getting damaged, when a person is seated for a long time, the spine becomes stiff, and this leads to back pains (Castells 14). When people spend long hours on the computer, the first part of the body that gets damaged is the eyes. This is because the eyes are exposed to too much light for a long time.
