Pigs give us meat to eat. They give us pork,bacon,sausages, and ham and their skins are used for leather, their bristly hair for brushes, and their organs for life saving medical substances. The pig organs are similar to humans.People also raise pigs to show and breed. People show pigs all over America.Some people keep pigs as a companion animal.Pigs were once used in orchards or open woodland. The herds of pigs would be taking care of by a swineherd which is like a shepherd.

Outdoor pig production can have benefits such as having a cost that is 40-70% lower to conventional indoor systems and can achieve similar grow margins with less capital investment, but it can also have its downfalls (Gentry & McGlone, 2003). The pond is there to recycle the runoff water and house the waste created by the pigs. Ducks love the reservoir because of the manure, plants and bugs it attracts. The pig barns surround this little oasis in a semicircle and house between twenty and thirty sows (females) and three boars (males). The barns look ancient on the outside, but inside they boast state of the art technology and equipment for feeding and caring for the swine. This technology is used by students who are involved in the department of Animal Science to take care of the pigs.
They knew that establishing such a farm would be extremely difficult, nevertheless the thoughts of giving never crossed their minds. They gradually, step by step, started to overcome all the obstacles and hardships on their way to prosperity. Those hardships made clear that the pigs were the most appropriate for a position as a leader. Indeed, the pigs were most intelligent, it was them who were guiding the animals and giving effective advice on farming. Undoubtedly, had it not been for them, the animals would have starved to death not being able to solve the problems regarding ploughing and harvesting.
