It’s really hard to understand how a magician performs a trick which seems to be mysterious for us. I believe that an electronics engineer is far more than a magician who makes unbelievable things using electronic components, and is true wizard who can bring something into the real world from his imagination. The moment that enticed me towards electronics occurred in my 12th standard, when I came to know the role of ABS (Anti lock Braking System), A simple microcontroller which helps to control both the speed and agility at the same time, which plays a major role in saving the life’s of many people, that’s the moment I decided that I must take part in designing such amazing things that helps to the mankind. This passion towards electronics …show more content…
I still remember the words of my professor "our mobile phone contains some 100 million of transistors “I was astonished how some millions of transistors can be fitted into our palm size area that too with no electrical wires. I was paralyzed for a second hearing on this. Since then I started discovering the trends and technologies happening around me starting from CMOS transistors to quantum computers which works with q bits. In the process of my research I found that the role of an electronics engineer is not confined to electronics field alone .He plays a crucial role in many other departments like medical, mechanical, military, civil, etc. In any field majority of the work is carried by microprocessors and controllers which are embedded on electronic machines in the form of integrated circuits. These have even increased my passion in coming to the field of integrated …show more content…

I am interested in auto repair as a career because I love to work with my hands and I like taking on challenges. The collision industry is growing and it will only continue to grow, manufacturers will design new vehicles every year, keeping my job interesting, challenging and fun. What I hope to achieve in the collision industry is open a custom shop with my cousin, he is currently attending Lincoln tech to be a gas/diesel technician. I enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard after I turned 17; after I graduated high school in May 2012 I went to basic training and advanced individual training to be a machinist and welder. I returned home April 2013 not knowing what I wanted to do, even though I enjoyed welding I didn’t see myself as a welder for the rest of my life so I enrolled in Austin Community College to study criminal justice and started working security part time.
Growing up, my mother has instilled the value of hard work in me. She has taught me how setting goals and giving your best effort at something really does pay off. I have learned to always follow through with something and never give up when things get hard. For as long as I knew what a job was, I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. Now, I see just how hard this profession is. Long nights, countless patients in a day, time away from family for an emergency call, sacrifice of personal time, these are just a few of the underlying things in veterinary medicine, but this is what drives me to the career. Seeing my mother make similar sacrifices to provide for our family has prepared me over the years for this type of work. Growing up, my mom
Throughout my time in university, I was involved in a lot of extracurricular activities. I wanted to implement my knowledge that I got in university (Project management, organizational behavior, leadership and motivation etc.). From the very beginning I founded my own organization that calls Youth Assembly of Nations. My goal was to unite people of different nationalities and lead them to promote friendship among different nations (more than 150 nationalities live in Kazakhstan). As a result 40 delegates of different nationalities were chosen. Every month we were organizing events such as music festivals, fairs, charity events and promoting our vision of collaboration.
As an engineering student, design, develop and test electrical equipments is the major purpose of all time. In other words, electrical engineer is concerned with using electricity to transmit electric power. In electrical engineering, there are extensive subfields such as power engineering, control system and signal processing. It is also worth to point out the difference between electrical engineering and electronic engineering. According to the research, electronic engineering is a major that deal with the electronic system such as computers and radar, to be more specific, electronic engineers are concerned with using electricity to process information.
As an Industrial Engineer with more than 15 years of work experience, I choose Supply Chain Management (SCM) because I believe that logistics is the most dynamic, vibrant, challenging, technology driven area, and the future of any big national and international companies. It will give me the opportunity to know behind the scene of improving the companies’ performance by using SCM tools. If I work in this field, I can get my answers and a chance to work in the market of raw material, purchasing, production, distribution, logistics, and final goods. After finishing two semesters in the College of Business at University of Houston Downtown (UHD), I am really passionate about it and want to gain my knowledge in the logistics sector, learn new techniques and skills, and seek new opportunities.
I have been raised in a traditional middle-class Gujarati family. Despite many constraints my academic career has had the strong support of my parents. This has allowed me to be the first girl in my family to graduate. I have this strong passion for learning new things and trying to incorporate them in my day to day life. Moreover, my strong passion for learning has inspired me to further raise the glass ceiling by furthering my expertise through advanced international
Electrical Engineers research, develop, design, and test electronic components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, and scientific applications (Cosgrove 749). They are concerned with devices that use small amounts of electricity that make up electronic components such as integrated circuits and microprocessors. By applying principles and techniques of electronic engineering they design, develop, and manufacture products such as computers, telephones, radios, and stereo systems (EGOE, 121). Electrical engineers touch everyone lives through the things they have designed or created. Electrical engineers have invented the lights in your house, the television, the stereo, the telephone, computers, and even your doctor’s blood pressure gauge (Stine 300).
In the past few decades, one field of engineering in particular has stood out in terms of development and commercialisation; and that is electronics and computation. In 1965, when Moore’s Law was first established (Gordon E. Moore, 1965: "Cramming more components onto integrated circuits"), it was stated that the number of transistors (an electronic component according to which the processing and memory capabilities of a microchip is measured) would double every 2 years. This prediction held true even when man ushered in the new millennium. We have gone from computers that could perform one calculation in one second to a super-computer (the one at Oak Ridge National Lab) that can perform 1 quadrillion (1015) mathematical calculations per second. Thus, it is only obvious that this field would also have s...
My decision to become an electrical engineer was not a decision I took too long ago. It is something that I decided to pursue when I entered a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) high school. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed working with computers and building circuits, and the fact that this career involved many subjects. Doing a lot of research to understand better what it meant to be an Electrical Engineer, I found out that in order to succeed in this career one had to know a little bit of everything. In other words, subjects such as science and math are essential to know if someone wants to be successful electrical engineer. An electrical engineer is someone who finds practical solutions to everyday problems that involve electricity, such as computers, cell phones, among other electrical equipments. In order to create a useful device one must know where to start and this is where science comes in. An electrical engineer must be able to use the scientific method, which means; one must form a procedure, test it out, and write a conclusion. These parts of the scientific method must be written clearly, so that others can recreate and test out a device or project. Math also plays a key role in this area of study, because one must be precise when creating a new device that others are going to use. For example, if one were to create a new type of cell phone one must know a lot of math in order to be able to progr...
While I was in high school, not only was I an active volunteer in several activities such as food drives and helping those in need, in addition to community work, but also I became invested in engineering sciences due to my perceptions regarding the importance of electrical engineering to an emerging industrial country such as mine. Therefore, as I was to graduate soon, I decided to specialize in this science as a student and future professional. Fortunately, through my undergraduate studies, not only did I found the science to be highly intriguing and vast giving way access to endless disciplines, but I have also found that it is very much correlated to numerous other sciences. This observation prompted me to further delve in my studies to become one day a well-informed engineer.
On successful completion of my master’s program, I will be able to implement this knowledge in an Indian industry more confidently and effectively. By working in the field of Electronics I would like give my share in enhancing the life standards of my countrymen. I am certain that my contribution, small or great, will prove to be another step in development and success of my country and its people.
