This article is about the new type of bullying, where the teacher bullies the student. According to this resource teacher student bullying is a surprisingly common occurrence. In most schools there are kids who are troublemakers or “’At risk.’” Teachers often have a hard time dealing with such kids according to this ABC investigation, teachers often use tactics that do not help, are generally accepted, and similar to the tactics used by school bullies themselves. The reason says ABC is that teachers were good students and so do not understand why the trouble makers do such things, second never knew any other tactic, and third have incorrect knowledge concerning how it would affect the students. This article is making quite a big statement but this is by a well-known and credible news source, and pieces of it were already common knowledge. However one may still question its validity if not for its great detail into the mind of a teacher. The bullying from teachers, at least to Dolak, Kevin and Alyssa, is that teachers are role models, but are comfortable in that position. They usually do not do this consciously; they simply have an automatic response to disruption, or have labeled it differently. This does explain why this problem gets so little attention. However how in depth they delve into the mindsets of teachers, which they do near flawlessly, they fail to bring up actual evidence or examples. Now very worried the mother took her son to a university to have him examined for any condition. The experts came up empty. The mother withdrew the child from school and found out that the teacher regularly verbally assaulted her son. The article takes an abrupt turn and discusses the how to deal with the issue. One way is to hear other stories to see if what is happening is an actual situation. Another thing to do is document everything that happens. Then complain professionally. Most acts of bullying are dealt with, but not always in the correct way of doing so. Bullying Policies in many schools state that bullying is not tolerated and has consequences that will be used if bullying occurs. However, Jodi draws our attention to the issue that not all schools have a policy that states the consequences of bullying and practically just tells the victim to fight back and stand up for himself. Schools want to violate your civil rights! Cyber bullying has been getting much attention recently and schools are being criticized for not taking action. There are three main reasons why schools should not limit students’ online speech: it violates our civil rights, it is exaggerated in size, it may result in more face-to-face bullying.
As a society, we often underestimate the damages that bullying cause on children, not just America but all over, and the ones who suffer are the victims themselves. Victims are damaged with the stigma that they are weak, yet somehow have to fend for themselves against something that they have little to no control over. Bullying has been a part of schooling for as long as children have been congregating. To some it seems like a natural, though uncomfortable, part of life and school experience, while to others it can mean terrifying experiences which spoiled and characterized otherwise happy years in school. Dan Olweus, a pioneer in bully behavior research documented that 2.7 million children are affected as victims, and that 2.1 children act as bullies (Fried, 1997, as cited in Aluedse, 2006). With bullying cited as the reason for violent, gun-related crime in the past few years, school districts as well as national governments have put anti-bullying policies in place. Bullying is a complicated phenomenon, involving more than one child demanding lunch money from a smaller child. It is a worldwide epidemic hitting schools everywhere. Virtually everyone has seen or experienced bullying. With technological advances, bullying is even hitting the internet. Parents, teachers, students and governments agencies alike are attempting to put a stop to bullying practices.
Bullying affects an entire community of kids. A single student who bullies can have a wide-ranging impact on the students, not only the bully and his or her victim. Parents should be held accountable if their child is a bully. When an adult decides to be a parent, they become responsible for whatever mistakes their child may do, until the child becomes an adult. The parent should show their child right from wrong, and as parents, he or she must remember, children repeat what one may say and do. If parents do not provide their child with these resources, they should be fined or even put in jail. Also, their should be a law passed that requires parents, to go to a parent-child orientation, which will provide parents with resources on how to deal with bullying.

In addition, some schools have speakers come in and tell their story about what happened to them and how it has affected their lives. Some students may relate to a story and in turn can have a huge impact on their emotions as well as their behavior. Both the student and the school consider bullying as one of the major problems that should be dealt with. It randomly chooses people and it happens in every department. This will greatly affect the performance of the student not only toward education but also in other aspects. This leads to a poor grade in academics, loss of self-esteem, bad social life, depression, and could lead to death.
Bullying does not have a standard definition. Bullying can be anything from calling someone else names, beating them up just for the fun of it, to texting or messaging them on the internet or any mobile device. Any person can be the victim of bullying, not just children. Bullying causes many issues, physically, emotionally, and mentally, not only for the victim, but for their entire families as well. Bullies have many different reasons as to why they start bullying someone else. The actions done to the victim leaves them with only a few options on how to stop being bullied. How they handle it is always different.
“Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” These words have been repeated countless times, but they are not accurate. In truth, words can kill. Bullying has become a highlighted problem within our society, and bullying in the school systems is even more prominent. According to the news, there are countless cases of bullying, many of which do not have happy endings. The rates of suicide due to bullying are currently higher than they have ever been before. Suicide is the third top causes of death in young people within the United States, averaging at 4,400 deaths a year, with over 50% of these deaths as a result of some sort of bullying. Studies also show that there are 100 suicide attempts for every one successful suicide performed (“Bullying and Suicide”). These numbers are disturbingly high. Bullying is affecting more kids in ways that some adults may never understand. The fact that words and actions can lead to cutting and suicides is still a distant concept to some and needs to be brought to immediate attention. Laws are now being put into place to prevent these tragedies, but what is really being done to prevent them within the schools or even within the students’ homes? There is a lot of finger pointing when it comes to this topic. But we all want to know what the cause is behind this nationwide crisis and who is responsible for it.
Some of the reasons why some teachers model the aggressive behavior they experience at home, might be due to education levels and years of teaching experience. In some states, when teacher are tenure, they cannot or hardly be fired. Three articles (See Table 8) directly tested the assumption that education and/or experience were related to bullying behavior. Zerillo (2011) performed a two-part study to see how teacher education and experience affected the way teacher perceived bullying behavior. In the first part, teachers were asked to answer a survey about the teacher perception about peer-to-peer bullying and teacher to student bullying (quantitative data). On the second part, two focus groups were made to discuss the same issues (qualitative data).
