T-Totals Investigation
Introduction
If you look at the 9x9 grid with the T-shape, you can see that the
total of the numbers added together is 37 because it is1+2+3+11+21
which equals 37.
This is what we call the T-total (37)
And T-number is the number at the bottom of the T-shape which in this
case is 20

My tasks
The tasks I have been set are:
1) Investigate the relationship between the T-total and the T-number.
2) Use grid of different sizes. Translate the T-shape to different
position. Investigate relationships between the T-total, the T-numbers
and the grid size.
3) Use grids of different sizes again. Try other transformation and
combinations of transformations. Investigate relationship between the
T-total, the T-numbers, the grid size and the transformations.

The Big Sort, written by Bill Bishop and published in 2009, takes an in-depth, wide-ranging look into the ways that American citizens are defining themselves and forming into like-minded groups. The people of the United States are categorizing their life choices, beliefs and practices in such a way that population areas both great and small are becoming alienated and isolated from one another, clustering in particular groups that share the same or similar interests and points of view. Individuals and groups that do not share equivalent ideas or ways of life with other individuals and groups are increasingly at odds, to the point of minimal contact and knowledge with the rest of the world that exists outside of their thought community. As a result of this, people are clumping to opposing ends of spectrums, whether they are political, religious or lifestyle choices and this is causing “sorting”, referring to the book’s title.
Mr. T is a 48-year-old Korean-American male admitted to Mercy Medical Center for heart palpitations following a call to the Behavioral Health help hotline. As a result of the call to the helpline, the police were called and Mr. T was initially brought to the Emergency Department. He told medical staff he was depressed and had ingested somewhere around 10 Xanax pills. Mr. T has bipolar disorder with possible borderline personality disorder characteristics. He was “nasty” to the staff and refused to give consent to treatment regarding his heart condition, for which he has a pacemaker, as well as any type of psychiatric evaluation.

Q1. Congestions on the roads are a problem for traffic management. What policies will you advocate for reducing congestion on streets and highways? Are congestion charges or building a toll road /bridge a better strategy for addressing this issue? Also, how would you address equity issues in the light of congestion charges implementations? Ch 14
“Your Ability to Can Even: A Defense of Internet Linguistics” by Tia Baheri, is a great read. The article focuses on the new language that has been created among Internet users and how some critics think it is a negative impact on the English language and how others, such as Baheri herself, think that there is nothing wrong with the change what so ever. After reading the article, I agree with Tia Baheri, I also think that language is as she states, “Supposed to flex and shape itself to convey what we mean to say as directly and efficiently as possible”. Yes, some who do not spend a lot of time on the Internet may not understand some of the newly used phrases but for others it is the best way to express themselves.
The scene where the debate team came across the lynching mob stood out the most to me. The whole way the scene was set up was designed so the characters, and the audience would feel a sense of tension. In the scene, it is almost completely dark and all the characters in the car have a terrified look on their faces. Also the music has a fast paced tone to depict the urgency, and the danger of the situation. This is all done by the filmmakers in order to create a sense of fear amounts the audience and the characters.
What attracted my attention in particular in Chapter 3 was stress information. Stress is considered to be the result of the action of the external factors (the environment, the job, the relationships with those around us, the obstacles of life, the daily expectations and disillusionments) and the internal factors (nutritional balance, emotional well-being, physical form, body) on our life. I never thought that there is a positive stress, but now I have realized that the extent to which each individual manages to manage stress in a constructive way, to become more resilient to the various obstacles of life, traces the boundary between negative stress, and positive. What is important to note is that stress in my life (the negative one) not only affects me in all areas but also negatively affects

In order to live one's life one must have values. In “A Raisin in the sun” by Lorraine Hansberry values play an important role in Beneatha's life which is also, clear in my life. Beneatha and I both believe that adventure, Moral judgment, and personal consistency, as well as Education, are values that we share.
“The surest way to lose your self-worth is by trying to find it through the eyes of others.” With these words, Becca Lee is claiming that the amount of self-worth one has should not be dependent upon the opinions of others. This same idea is conveyed in the novel, Uglies, the article “The Art of Resilience”, and the poem “If”. In the novel Uglies Scott Westerfeld tells the story of Tally, a sixteen year old girl, who learns to see her self-worth. Throughout the story, Tally struggles to separate her self-worth from the ideals imposed upon her by society. The article “The Art of Resilience” informs readers how resilience can assist a person who is struggling in life. The central idea is that adversity does not have to determine our fate. The
I did not set out to be a teacher nor did I set out to be a leader but today I am both a teacher and a leader in educational technology. Through my studies in the Educational Technology program at the University of Alaska Southeast I have created a solid foundation for that leadership role. My portfolio shows what I have learned in educational technology and my growth as a technology leader. Each artifact was chosen to emphasize what I believe is most important in education for me. They show my commitment to professional growth, my dedication in supporting student learning, and my belief in the strength of collaboration.

As something given beyond what is actually due, The Parthenon (designed by the architects Iktinos and Kallikratis) became a masterpiece of architecture and art where certain features details made the temple perfectly balanced in shape and symmetry. Cartwright (2012) lay much emphases on those details clearly ahead of time, “The temple measure 30.88 m by 69.5 m and was constructed using a 4:9 ratio of the diameter of the columns in relation to the space between columns, the height of the building in relation to its width, and the width of the inner cella in relation to its length. Other sophisticated architectural techniques were used to combat the problem that anything on that scale of size when perfectly straight seen from a distance to be curved. To give the illusion of the true, the columns lean over so slightly inwards, a feature which also gives a lifting effect to the building making it appear lighter than its construction material would suggest. Also, the stylobate or floor of the temple is not exactly flat but rises slightly in the center. The columns also have entasis, that is, a slight fattening in the middle, and the four corner columns are imperceptibly faster than the other
There are six diagonal lines. At one end there are circles on them giving the impression of three circular prongs. At the other end the same size lines have cross connecting lines consistent with two square prongs. These perceptions can violate our expectations for what is possible often to a delightful effect.
