Syrian refugees essay By Mia Hamon Syrian refugees may face hardships. Refugees are people fleeing from their country and home because it is no longer safe “ due to war, persecution, violence, or natural disasters.” After arriving in a new country, many refugees cannot speak nor understand the native language. Refugees have already been through alot and to add to taht they come to a new country knowing nothing. Francios and Cedric love growing up in a country as beautiful as Syria and as peaceful. Until one day when war broke out in Syria they were safe in Aleppo for awhile until the was reached them. “It started with just gunfire” it increased severly. Cedric and Francios stayed in school to finish their education. All of their classes were moved to a basement of a church to protect students from stray bullets. Some days school was canceled completely or let out early. They stayed in a nearby town with family. All around Sryia everything became scarce like money, fuel, medicine growing scarcier than all. “For awhile in Aleppo the sound of gunfire and explosions became a daily routine”. The streets kids use play on are ruble now. One day while they were staying with family out of town and uncle that lived in new york called and said he had heard what was happening and secured permission for the jacob family to come to the US. Cedric and Francios’s father would have to go back to Aleppo one last time to prepare for the journey the brothers begged their father to take them with him so they could see and say goodbye to Aleppo one last time. They never got to say goodbye to friends or to their home all they had was
