Refugees are people fleeing from their country and home because it is no longer safe “ due to war, persecution, violence, or natural disasters.” After arriving in a new country, many refugees cannot speak nor understand the native language. Refugees have already been through alot and to add to taht they come to a new country knowing nothing. Francios and Cedric love growing up in a country as beautiful as Syria and as peaceful. Until one day when war broke out in Syria they were safe in Aleppo for awhile until the was reached them. “It started with just gunfire” it increased severly. Cedric and Francios stayed in school to finish their education. All of their classes were moved to a basement of a church to protect students from stray bullets. Some days school was canceled completely or let out early. A refugee is a person who is being persecuted for their race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion; refugees are everywhere around us and we don’t even know it. Salva, in A Long Walk to Water, was a refugee, and still is. He, along with many others, was a victim of the War in Sudan. He was fearful for his life so he had to flee his home and wound up in America, fulfilling his purpose by giving back to all of the people in Sudan, where he once was victimized. Like Salva, all refugees go through different stages when moving to another place, most common is having a hard time accepting losses and overcoming homesickness, but with help from many different people and things, they can get past this.
The life of a refugee is not just a life of trials and ordeals, but also has rewards for those who pushed through the pain.

Our author shows how the game, Killer, a tradition at many high schools, acts as an administrated environment in which kids experiment. "The impact of playing violent video games has drawn heightened scrutiny since the massacre in Newtown, Conn. Shooter Adam Lanza, troubled by mental health issues and his parents ' divorce, reportedly also played violent video games daily, for hours on end" (Rebecca Hagelin, 2013, p. 5). According to Anderson and Bushman (2001) lack of parental oversight has become the primary issue on children grabbing their attention more towards violent video games than studying for their test. Countries surrounding Syrian, such as Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey and Iraq have taken in the vast majority of Syrian refugees. In some countries, such as Lebanon, Syrian refugees make up over a quarter of the population. This causes extreme economic strain on a country, and can greatly increase the amount of poverty that is seen there. As refugees continue to flee their countries civil war, surrounding countries struggle to cope with the influx of new people into their country.
Children start to act rebellious at home such as screaming, breaking objects, and even causing physical harm. However, when the minor encounters an argument with an individual they can physically harm or kill the individual. Such as, the massacre in high schools, the students that are bullied, plan to get back at the people by using violent actions. This family flees their country in order to seek safety in a neighboring, more stable country. These people are considered refugees. Refugees are not travelers or immigrants because they are displaced due to some devastating reason, whether that is war or persecution. Other countries extend money, resources, and even their land to help resettle refugees out of political and humanitarian obligation. In a society driven by technology, video games are becoming more popular each and everyday. People of all ages enjoy video games in their free time; these games allow the player to become an athlete, a soldier, or a professional fighter at the tip of their fingers. The biggest problem with these video games is that they are becoming too violent. In today’s society, children often brag about the new video game they bought, and the number of people they have managed to kill while playing these games. Video games have become realistic, causing them to intrigue a larger amount of children. Many of these violent video games encourage killing and fighting of enemies, or strangers in the game. Each year a new game system, and hundreds of video games are released, and millions of kids go out and buy them and spend hours playing. Video games have a large effect on school performance and time spent with family. Children would prefer to play their games than sit down and talk with their parents (Saleem, 2012).
